Magical February brought me to Marrakesh 🌟 - What a month! I went there to sing at my friend’s wedding and ended up falling in love with the city and the people. There is a certain authenticity to how life is lived in the moment there that magnetized me. Here’s a bit of that incredible journey!

Every key holds a story, every melody a memory. 🧡

In January I was globetrotting all my dreams between Brazil, Boston and NYC. Time with family, lots of work, self-care, planning and Madonna. What was the highlight of your month? ✨

I feel that everyone deserves someone that lights up their soul. I think it’s liberating to know how to be happy by ourselves, and in this place, it’s even more incredible to have a connection with a special person. Being in love is beautiful, staying in love is magical. Maybe this sentence will be in another song?

Little curiosity: I wrote the verse “I had no clue sunsets were pure magic before that kiss” in the song “Chapters Behind” inspired by the love of a young couple. I was in Sweden, it was summer, they were each other’s first love, and one day I saw them leaving to have a picnic and watch the sunset at the beach. That immediately triggered an image in my head that became this verse, inspired by the strength and magic of a first love.

A new content series is coming up, from all my heart, and specially for you 🤍

I grew up playing and loving this instrument. I remember as a little girl sitting at my home piano and admiring its color, structure, and sound. There was an entire universe inside that piano. But secretly, it somehow bothered me that I was using it exclusively to play other people’s songs.
 
I intensively and passionately played it in my teenage years, slowly walked away from it in my twenties, and made peace with it again in my thirties.
 
Four years ago, I decided to explore a different instrument: my voice. I walked into Bristol Studios in Boston – the first one that showed up in my google search for “voice lessons near me”– and took an intro class. The owner of the studio, Ric Poulin, tested my vocals. “Do you know you have a great range?”. I was shocked. Moved. Tears came out of nowhere, something screamed inside of me. “Are you sure you just want to take vocal lessons for fun?”, he asked. “Let the sky be the limit”, was my answer.
 
Since that day, I go back to that studio every single week. Six months after that intro class, I wrote my first song and discovered myself as a songwriter. Everything in my life made sense. I can finally use the piano – and my voice – to sing my own original songs and my own message to the world.
 
I strongly believe that we are born for immensity. And it all starts by burning those little labeled boxes that we, inadvertently, shrink ourselves into.
 
This is a story of that little girl by her piano who burned many little boxes in her life. And is having the audacity to pursue her dream. She wants to inspire you to do the same.
 
We are not here in this world to live a plan B. We are here to live our Plan A.

A spiritual moment. Standing very next to Elvis’ favorite piano inside the studio he recorded most of his music. The last picture is a mark on the floor indicating where the lead vocal microphone was placed for best vocal capture. Meaning, the exact place he stood to record his vocals. Full body chills.

Being back to the place I grew up is always fun, nostalgic, reflective. For me it also means reuniting with my first own piano, an unbelievable gift from my parents when I was 10 or so. It still lives in their home and I am always impressed by how loud and strong the sound is. I remember seating on the bench when I was a child and being in complete awe that I actually had a real piano home. This time I decided to take a look at all the books that I studied along a decade of piano lessons. It was like boarding a time machine. Yes friends, time flies. And it is so nurturing to be able to appreciate it.

Life with live concerts is baaaaack (!!!) and I have a full commitment to got to as many concerts I can possibly can. The adrenaline is out of this world when we let ourselves blend with a song. This week was time to see the super talented Lorde and I was so impressed by her charisma. What an artist you are, miss Lorde!
