With joyful hearts, we just want to humbly and boundlessly thank all the people behind this success. The MTCGS joins UNESCO in celebration of International Literacy Day 2022, a global event organized by UNESCO with the theme, "Transforming Literacy Learning Spaces." An opportunity to raise awareness and solve existing problems in literacy, both in local and global communities.

The International Literacy Day was proclaimed by UNESCO on the 8th of September of the year 1966 - to address issues of illiteracy in individuals, communities, and societies, and act as an effort toward more literate societies.

MTCGS supports its ideology of transforming literacy learning spaces to be more accessible for all students, especially the marginalized.

For the past years, MTC organized various literacy programs such as reading programs, book donations to elementary schools, and the conduct of community extension programs in support of the DepEd literacy campaign.

The job of a Teacher does not end inside the classroom but extends its influence to the growth and future of young ones.

The MTCGS joins the commencement of National Teachers' Day on this day, the 5th of September, and will observe World Teachers' Day on the 5th of October - the said events have become the epitome of time to honor the teachers who continuously inspire the students.

Today, along with the Asia-Pacific region, we celebrate World Coconut Day 2022 with the theme, 'Growing Coconut for a Better Future and Life'.

The first World Coconut Day was observed on September 2, 2009, by the Asia Pacific Coconut Community (APCC) to draw attention to the value of coconuts and their influence on society.

FUN FACT:

The name COCONUT is derived from the Portuguese word "coco" which means head or skull after the 3 dots in the coconut shell making a face-like image.

Coconut is not a nut. It is a drupe.

The Philippines is one of the 3 largest producers of coconut in the world.

THIS IS IT! The MTC Bula-Milaor Cluster has successfully conducted its first Face-to-Face Class of School Year 2022-2023, on this day, the 22nd of August 2022. We make sure to prioritize the safety of our students by following health protocols upon entrance and exit of the students as we give conducive learning environment.
