Imänefese Qaduse Biography

Imänefese Qaduse. I am an artist of music, as well owner & executive of independent record label brand KaRasta Musec Records. We are Roots Reggae primarily, yet multi-genre too. Currently I am based in United States of America. I am of Jamaican parentage, yet born in United States. My dad is Reggae industry legend Copeland Forbes.

I started in Hip Hop music as a lyricist circa 1988, 89 around age 8 or 9. Then I incorporated Reggae Dancehall in my music artistry around 1990. I’ve been in groups, yet I more so am a soloist who does collaborative songs with other artists. I have recorded many songs throughout the decades.

In the early 2000’s as I started getting more serious about Rastafari livity, which is my Spirituality, I became very unsure of music business due to knowing nature of industry is very shady to put it mildly. Alot of corruption is in it. This was period of time where musically I was chanting more. Yet since 2011, 2012 I’ve become very sure again about this music mission in the music business. Our music mission is music for the Soul. This is a Spiritual work for
I was born into the music business environment, specifically of Reggae, thru means of being around my biological father Mr Copeland Forbes. I was around various musicians, artists, & business ppl within Reggae music industry from a very young age. Jimmy Cliff, Marcia Griffiths, Tiger, Yellow Man, Mighty Diamonds, Dean Fraser, Luciano Jah Messenjah, Mikey General, Sizzla are few ppl in Reggae music industry I’ve been privileged to have been around through my biological father. Dad is a man of many hats, yet we can concise him to basically being known for tour management and personal artist management. So my interest in the business and industry therefore of Reggae is from those experiences partly.

I am a different branch, tho of same tree as my biological family. I am spiritually called to do what I am doing. There are other ppl of my biological family who are in Music Entertainment industry, in the celebrity world. Yet, my personal path I realized from long time now is of a different sort.

Our music is all Spiritual. We’ve released several music projects and singles throughout the years. Just type my name Imänefese Qaduse in any search on any music platform, including YouTube. Or just Google us. Use any search engine to find us. Our current project is album Negus Nagast Volume I, a various artists project starring I Imänefese Qaduse with guest features of our label’s artists. Namely artists Raah Giiz, Nigist Nia, and Dejaz are on this album Negus Nagast Volume I alongside I Imänefese Qaduse.
In addition to KaRasta Musec Records, we are starting up a music distribution corporation named Ahfyahkah Music Arts Distribution (AMAD). AMAD will be distributor of physical records (vinyl) for KaRasta Musec Records, as well eventually for other independent labels and production companies owned by our Original people in Mama Africa and Africa Diaspora. KaRasta Musec Records is a partnership company owned by I Imänefese Qaduse and Phallu Ras Sound, our main producer. AMAD (Ahfyahkah Music Arts Distribution) on the other hand, will be owned by shareholders of stock in the company AMAD.
KaRasta Musec Records will be working with artists in Uganda, such as General Zaabu, who will be on album Negus Nagast Volume II next year 2024.
