Today would've been my Father's 101st birthday.
This is a picture he painted in April 1936. He was 14. Happy
Birthday Dad. I miss you.

Thankyou Prague for sharing your beauty and the kindness of your people. Among highlights were the astronomical clock from 1415 in the town square, the incredible mosaic inside. When the N***s occupied and wanted to tear the stunning mosaic down someone came up with the ingenious argument that to do so might damage the structural integrity of the building. The person suggested instead plastering over it. Thus saving it for the generations to come when the occupation ended in 1945. Also the oldest synagogue in Central Europe where legend has it the Golem ( or artificial man) was dismantled and kept. So much to see. If you’ve never been I urge you to visit. A truly wonderful time in Dundee at the opening of the V&A’s amazing tartan exhibition. I URGE anyone to go to this fabulous celebration of all things tartan!! Plus I got to sit in a vintage Hillman Imp( Scotlands car!), watch the Dundee High school drum band, listen to “the vintage girls” do their unique rendition of the Skye Boat song and enjoy it all with my good friend Thanks to for the fabulous coat and bunnet and to all for asking me to be their tartan ambassador

In one of the most beautiful cities in Europe celebrating my own wedding and who should I bump into but this gang of absolute legends: “La Tuna de Sevilla”. There to celebrate the wedding of one of their group. They held their guitars in a ceremonial arch while singing the most beautiful songs. I felt like I’d been dropped into the most insanely romantic movie

I suddenly remembered that weddings are really supposed to be all about the bride and not the bald bearded bloke with the sporran! So I couldn’t resist some more snaps mainly of the woman I’m so proud to call my wife plus one of us with the wingmen and and, of course, our dog Lulu who sadly does not do social media but who DID insist on picking her own outfit. Earlier this year I was lucky enough to marry this wonderful woman Yes! We celebrated in Scotland. Yes! In a castle. Yes! With my wonderful children and Yes! With a giant sporran. My youngest daughter Hope made the place cards. My dear friends and made sure everything ran smoothly and as you can see .lacroix took dancing to new levels!! It was a wonderful, joy filled day surrounded by family and friends. Thankyou Garance for saying YES!!! /oui

Making some room on the booze shelf for the new offering of tequila from Samwise. I’ll keep checking for deliveries mate!!.
