In the Philippines, it is enshrined in our laws that this is a RIGHT!

Sec 9c, BP 232 otherwise known as the Education Act of 1982 provides that, "it is a RIGHT of a student to avail the guidance and counseling services in school.."

Sec 25, IRR of RA 11036 otherwise known as the Mental Health Act provides that "all public and private educational institutions shall have a complement of mental health professionals".

Child protection is not a lip service nor media mileage through press releases. It should be acted upon.

A peer facilitator is an emotionally mature student leader who recognizes and intervenes in problems identified at school. Peer facilitators have been trained in conflict resolution and confidentiality and can help students with a variety of issues including: -adjusting to high school. -coping with family issues.

Mental health is an integral part of health; indeed, there is no health without mental health. - WHO

In 2021, World Mental Health Day will be observed on October 10th, with the goal of promoting global awareness of mental health concerns.

People of all ages and vocations are feeling the effects of the 'new normal', bringing mental health to the forefront. Frontline workers, students, individual persons, and those with mental health issues have been hit hard.

World Su***de Prevention Day (WSPD), celebrated annually on 10 September, is organized by the International Association for Su***de Prevention (IASP) and endorsed by the World Health Organization (WHO). The event represents a global commitment to focus attention on su***de prevention.

The theme of WSPD 2021, “Creating hope through action,” reflects the need for collective, action to address this urgent public health issue. All of us- family members, friends, co-workers, community members, educators, religious leaders, healthcare professionals, political officials and governments- can take action to prevent su***de.

Researches nowadays showed that COVID 19 pandemic greatly affected the academic performance of students. Motivation declined, attention span lessen and uncertainties arise on whether students will learn during distance learning - online or modular. But amidst all these uncertainties, we have to be responsive to change, adapt in a new learning environment and practice resiliency.

The Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM) strand would focus on the basic concepts of financial management, business management, corporate operations, and all things that are accounted for. ABM can also lead you to careers on management and accounting which could be sales manager, human resources, marketing director, project officer, bookkeeper, accounting clerk, internal auditor, and a lot more.

Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics are intertwining disciplines when applied in the real world. The difference of the STEM curriculum with the other strands and tracks is the focus on advanced concepts and topics.

Under the track, you can become a pilot, an architect, an astrophysicist, a biologist, a chemist, an engineer, a dentist, a nutritionist, a nurse, a doctor, and a lot more. Those who are also interested in Marine Engineering should take this track.

If you take this strand, you could be looking forward to becoming a teacher, a psychologist, a lawyer, a writer, a social worker, or a reporter someday. This strand focuses on improving your communication skills. Oh! And priesthood is a choice in here too!
