My fellow writers,
You ever get words that come to you for a piece your working on or want to do like as your falling asleep or already sleeping? Then if you don’t scribble them down or put them into your notes you totally forget them when you wake up? Just happened to me again and it’s so frustrating!

The ultimate goal is for others to know that they’re not alone… that if my story and my words only reach a few, that its for those who need it most. 🖤

You didn’t deserve the awful things that happened to you, don’t hold onto the guilt and shame, those feelings should be for the abusers.

It’s been overwhelmingly healing and emotional to record the spoken poetry I’ve recently done. I’m gathering up the nerve to post… hopefully sometime today. 🖤

This summer heat
Feeling so hot
Humidity making a whole lot
Drip
Like the popsicle in your hand
Melting nonstop
On to your lap
Dance
Down your thighs
The look in your eyes
Lighting up like a sunrise
Firecracker, Bomb-Pop
I don't want this night to end
The summer days
Will fade away
Let's take it back to the top
If we could just freeze time
l'd make you mine
Sitting in this soft sand
The waves
Like the curves of your body
My hand
On your silhouette
Melt into your sunset

Writing emo poetry as if it makes me feel better
To let it all out
But I should know better
The fact is I don’t even know my emotions, right
Can’t handle or process
Just shove it all down
And continue to fight
For my life

𝒪𝓅𝓅ℴ𝓇𝓉𝓊𝓃𝒾𝓉𝒾ℯ𝓈 𝒹ℴ𝓃’𝓉 𝒽𝒶𝓅𝓅ℯ𝓃, 𝓎ℴ𝓊 𝒸𝓇ℯ𝒶𝓉ℯ 𝓉𝒽ℯ𝓂.
And so it begins. I’ve been writing (poetry) since I was 14. It was mostly in journals and notebooks, scrap papers etc. I started typing things up back in Highschool and haven’t had a laptop in well over a decade from the college days. Yesterday was my 32nd birthday and my biggest goal for the new year was to finally publish. Since I started posting my writing a few years ago all my work has been on my phone/notes. I started my poetry pages on social media and have been in the process of transferring them from my personal page to my writing pages… which isn’t easy with three children. I finally was issued my settlement check from an unnamed lawsuit and with that & part of my birthday gift I was able to get myself a MacBook to start typing all my work. I’m super excited about this journey. Thank you to everyone who reads my writing, and who has been following this page. I can’t wait to share with you more and for what’s to come.

And drop the petals
Over me from my head to my toes
Slowly caress my skin
With your strong hands
A gentle touch of sin
Take the thorns
That adorns her body
Love them and you'll see
The softness
The hardness
All of me
If you want the flower
You must have it entirely
