Did you know cats are born white? Their markings don’t show up until several weeks following birth.
This happens because the warmth of the womb blocks the color gene from reaching the kitten’s fur. Once they’re exposed to a cooler atmosphere, Siamese kittens usually start to develop pigment in their faces, as well as on their paws and tails.

SPHYNX
The sphynx cat is an energetic, acrobatic performer who loves to show off for attention. She has an unexpected sense of humor that is often at odds with her dour expression.Originally named the Canadian hairless, the sphynx got its start in Toronto, Canada in 1966 when a litter of domestic shorthair kittens included a hairless kitten as the result of a naturally occurring genetic mutation. Although other hairless kittens had been born prior to this, the sphynx as we know it today is the result of selectively breeding these hairless cats to normal-coated cats and then breeding their offspring back again to other hairless cats, a process that has not only produced the desired breed characteristics but also served to widen the gene pool to produce a genetically hardy breed of cat

The world's wealthiest cat ever recorded was , the last surviving of millionaire antiques dealer Ben Rea's 15 felines, to whom he left his £7 million (or about $13 million USD at the time) fortune in 1988. The odd benefaction was made out of spite: the reclusive Rea did not recognize any members of his own family and the money was left to three cat charities with the instruction that they ensure that one of the only individuals he could trust was looked after following his death.

Did you know... sometimes cats yawn as a way to peacefully end a standoff with another cat or other animal, as if to say “whatever,” possibly serving as a subtle show of dominance.
