This week's episode of 605 Live is packed with baseball action as SDABA state tournament gets underway from Cadwell Park in Mitchell.Tune into the premiere to hear from the following athletes and coaches:
1. Blake Boes from the Burke/Gregory Storm stops in to talk about the progression of that Storm team from winning a few games to making it to the Region Championship this year. A great group of guys come from Lake Andes and as far away as Wagner. This team is looking to do some DAMAGE in the upcoming State tournament.
2. Ethan Vobr - Coach of the Colome Chaos
The Colome Chaos are headed to the state amateur tournament for the first-time EVER. Vobr explains the history of the Chaos and tells us its been a long time since Colome had an amateur team. A lot of young guys on the team, Vobr says he might be 30 (and a little sore) but he can drink beer with the best of the 20-somethings on the team.
3. Patrick Krause - Groton baseball...
Mr. Krause called the action from the Class B American Legion State tournament and did a bang up job. He'll share with us some of the award winners (Big Stick - a guy went 16-19 in the tournament)...And gives some keen insight on all the work from MANY different people that helped pull this tournament off without a hitch.
4. Lex Heathershaw- Wall head football coach
Coach Heathershaw joins us to give us some insight towards his young and talented eagles out in Wall. He gives us a look at athletes to watch along with some praises to his quarterback Burk Blasius. He leaves us with the reminder to always "Brush Your Teeth".
5. Brock Greenfield- Clark Baseball
We get a live insight as state Senator Brock Greenfield joins us from Cadwell Park to talk about Clark's youth playing in two seperate state tournaments taking place 40 minutes apart. Along with why baseball has been so successful for the town. He wraps it up with his thought on the Clark Traders first round opponent at the SDABA the Plankinton Bankers.
