Street art in Barranco 💘
Our first trip to 🇵🇪 and South America!
We stayed in Barranco in Lima. Barranco is artsy, hip, safe, and a super fun neighborhood to explore.
¡Lo recomendamos!
We are in Cusco now and going to Machu Picchu, and so excited. But if you want to go to Machu Picchu, we think you should step out of the tourist bubble and spend some time enjoying this awesome city along the way ☁️
Hummingbirds, quetzals & a 🦜 friend we met in an alley in Santiago Atitlán.
I can’t count how many times since February she has asked “remember when we were walking and we saw that bird and we said hello and it said hello back?”
Santiago is where we go to visit with our artisan friends who make the beaded hummingbirds, earrings and necklaces—as well as our friend who carves the wooden birds—that we sell in markets at home in Colorado and online at voyperdido.co
It is so much fun to know the artisans and to have a reason to get a little lost in the alleys of a cool town in Guatemala. And sometimes on the way to meeting a friend, you make another one.
Go to for breakfast and books! We went to the La Condesa one, and we need to go back to the one in Polanco 📚
Avenida Amsterdam in La Condesa, CDMX 🌱

Happy Saturday from us at ✨ ✌️
Language school has helped our family find structure, purpose, culture, and friends on our adventures. Returning to Guatemala and feeling at home at and making friends here is one of the most amazing gifts we have been able to share with our girl.
Compared to the cost of summer camps, of traveling domestically, of going to children’s museums and water parks and all of the other things we spend money on to educate and entertain our kids…a trip to Lake Atitlán for Spanish school is super affordable.
Have you ever gone to language school as a family? Would you?
Swipe for a year’s growth ✨
Traveling with children means one thing: pizza.
There is no contest for the best pizza in San Pedro, trust us.
is everything: wood fired, perfect crust, chili oil. It’s a chill dining spot on a quiet callejón. We love to eat there but they deliver as well (they are closed on Thursdays).
Entertainment includes this toy car for your kid to sit in and, obviously, alley dogs.
New earrings!!
We collaborated with our super talented artisan friends on design and colors and are excited to share their work!
We will get these up in the store soon but for now…😍 right?
Sharing what we find in Guatemala gives us purpose to connect with our friends and the communities in Lago Atitlán—and help each other, family to family. It helps empower women artisans there and it helps us to keep coming back and learning.

Walking down to the lanchas in Panajachel.
To get to San Pedro, you can either go by road or road and boat.
We typically get a ride from our driver friend directly from the Guatemala City Airport to San Pedro.
But on our last trip we got a ride to Antigua and then to Pana for a super fun and quite full sunset boat ride over to San Pedro.
Panajachel is closer to Guatemala City and Antigua and the biggest town on the lake, so this the most common route.
We love Il Giardino in San Marcos La Laguna.
San Marcos is full of yoga classes, Ayurvedic juices, spiritual retreats and healthy foods. There are definitely more places for us to try.
But we really love going to Il Giardino after a swim! It is such a pretty and chill spot 🪴
Falafel veggie burger patty, house made whole grain bread, tuna steak, delicious beet juice. And Mayan black lava salt!
The best place to swim in Lake Atitlán! in San Marcos
We are almost sold out of our first order of earrings! Currently collaborating on some new designs with friends in Guatemala, and we are excited to go see them and see their awesome work.
There are two red pairs left on the site, and you can find both colors at Crestone Thrift!!
Stamp printed tags for our Guatemalan imports. Do you like the quetzal?
Mmm street food in San Pedro 🌈
