Army Soldiers that complete the Tracked Vehicle Recovery operations course earn the additional skill identifier 'H9.' Students learn how to operate, service, rig, tow, winch, and recover tracked vehicles using an M88. Putting the skills into practice, they demonstrate proper technique to move cables & connect the M88 recovery vehicle to a disabled Abrams tank for towing and recovery.

African Lion Anniversary
This year marks the 20th anniversary of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM)'s premier joint exercise, led by U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa.
Since mid-April, our Soldiers have been working alongside over 8,100 participants from 27 nations and NATO contingents.

As Memorial Day weekend approached, Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) placed U.S. flags at Arlington National Cemetery gravesites Thursday.
This was the 76th anniversary of Flags In. More than 1,500 service members placed over 260,000 flags at every gravesite and niche column there.

This year's competition included the , an armored vehicle competition where the best crews from across the globe competed head-to-head in everything from doctrine exams, call for fire, physical training, weapons qualification, and gunnery tables to showcase their mastery of armored warfare.
1st Cavalry Division’s Bradley Fighting Vehicle crew came out on top and the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment from The National Guard had the best Abrams tank crew around!

: Our riggers pack parachutes for every Basic Airborne Course student and paratrooper who complete static line jumps on the installation.
Given 300-400 students graduate each iteration of the course and must jump five times to graduate, that’s thousands of parachutes a year!
