Webb City FCCLA went to Silver Dollar City Career Day! We learned about the various jobs offered and how to land a job.
Fashion students were tasked with creating a modern newspaper dress with aspects from 3 various time periods that they drew. Can you guess what time periods are represented?

For our final lab in ProStart II, students had to create and plate the recipes from Missouri FCCLA competition: Pan Roasted Chicken Breast with Veloute served with Risotto and Sautéed Green Beans in 60 minutes. Look at these plates 👀🙌🏻
Culinary Bites, Foods & Nutrition—Group B: another round of fruit pizza and our time with teachers/staff has come to an end. We will find out the winning designs FRIDAY!
Culinary Bites-Global Foods: this group made Native American Fry Bread! This is a bread that was created out of rations long ago—and is DELICIOUS!

Global Foods students made California Rolls today and most hadn’t tried sushi before. What fun to let them try it for the first time!

Culinary Bites 2022-ProStart I: students were to teach guest teachers how to make Vegetable Stir Fry. Skills used were safety & sanitation, knife cuts, use of various cooking methods, measuring skills, & use of academic language. I’m beyond proud of these students. They make me look good 😎

ProStart II: Round 1 of cakes are finished!! 😍😍which one do you like the most?
Take a peek at day 2 of cake decorating in ProStart II 👀 Today, we learned cake decorating isn’t as easy as it looks, how to level cakes, how to use a cake board & turn table, how to make homemade buttercream, how to apply icing to layers, what equipment works best, and how to make a smooth crumb coat. Friday, they will decorate and they will take their creations home 🍰
