I'd like to share a glimpse into why BARE + ROSE is so different from many other brands.

My goal was to have the shortest window between when a plant was living in nature to when it lands on your skin as possible 🌱

WHY - Less time it is sitting in storage the less likely it is to deteriorate and the more vibrant & "alive" these natural extracted ingredients are, meaning more benefits to your skin.

Not all but MOST products you find today will follow the above time-line, going through many stages of storage and refinement, deteriorating and damaging the original extracted ingredient. From when it was living in mother nature to when you finally experience it could be years inbetween. Which is why they often fill a product with many other synthetic ingredients because its natural one now has little benefit.

A major factor that contributed to the creation of the 'Golden Face Nectar' is our modern, western diet.

Almost all of us are deficient in similar things because our diet tends to be made up of a lot of wheat & Grains. Foods high in Omega-6 and responsible for inflammation.

We lack many vitamins and minerals in our diet and what the body does to survive is use the nutrients it does get on our most vital parts like the brain, heart etc. The last place where nutrients are sent is the skin.

This month we are again holding back on having a normal outdoor market because of the persistent wet weather. However, we will be having a "Brunch at the Hall" on Sunday, with coffee, home made pastries, bacon and egg rolls, outdoor undercover seating and live entertainment all morning. Inside the hall we will have our mini market with home grown veggies, plants, flowers and local honey as well as a selection of hand crafted items including crystal jewelry, and wood and resin gifts.
It's been a long time between markets so we would love to see you at our all weather undercover community brunch at our friendly country hall.

TRUE vs FALSE 💢👊

• When skincare products advertise a key ingredient on the front label (e.g. Jojoba oil, Shea Butter) you can trust it's the main ingredient it contains & what your getting your results from.

FALSE - Some products contain 50-90 different ingredients & the one they show on the front label in some cases is of such a small % it can be drowned out from giving you true benefits. Many synthetic man-made chemicals can be brilliant at giving you a quick, superficial result. Giving the illusion that which ever natural ingredient on the front label is actually what's doing it.

• You can trust the ingredients list on the back of any skincare product.

TRUE & FALSE - For the most part YES you can, this is a legal requirement that any brand needs to list exactly what the product contains, but some words can be used as a category for example the word "Fragrance" in your ingredients list is one word that can cover up to 3000 different ingredients. One tip is that your ingredients are listed from the highest amount to the smallest amount. So the first ingredients 1-5 is usually what the bulk of the product is made up of, items that follow after that are in smaller & smaller percentages. So if you see your key ingredient at the bottom of the list know that it's the least thing that the product contains.

When choosing ingredients to formulate I first establish what results the product wants to achieve, from there I find ingredients that are the best in their category. For example many Oils contain Omega-3 but Flaxseed oil is the richest known plant-based source of it.

Many ingredients are also high in Vitamin C but Kakadu Plums have the highest known concentration of it than any other fruit in the world.

Again many ingredients contain Omega-5 but Pomegranate Seed Oil has the most impressive amounts found in it.

Choosing ingredients that are packed full of nutrients & the best in their category means the formula does not need to be over crowded with countless amounts of ingredients, instead carefully researched, powerful ones that are results driven is what you’ll fine.

FLAXSEED OIL ~ A golden, velvety textured oil you can't go past!

Flaxseed oil is best known for its high levels of Omega-3 and Omega-6 essential fatty acids. In just 1 tablespoon of Flaxseed oil it contains more than 7grams of an Omega-3 fatty acid called alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). Making it one of the richest sources of plant-based Omega-3.
