So I did this today. Zodiac themed pen in dyed Buckeye. It was supposed to be a burled wood but looked fairly plain to me. The grain runs tip to cap, but at least the wavy (curly) grain makes it look like spiral rings around the barrel. I jazzed it up with a little mica to make up for the lack of burl in the wood and to add a little bit more of a cosmic look. This is in full sunlight.
