Craving some fresh fruit today 😋.. Whats in your fridge? My go to summer fruits are Lychees, Mangosteens, Passion Fruits, Korean Melons, & Grapes!

Romanesco. Taste like a sweeter broccoli with the texture of a cauliflower. I love my Italian veggies.

Came across the cutest Yellow Dragon Fruit today! Summer is coming, that means tropic fruits are back 😃. What types of tropical fruits are you hoping we have this summer?

Also it's been too long since we've posted and we apologize! Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Lunar New Years, and Valentines Day got the best of us.

Anyway, we're back on the grind and hope to consistenly send y'all some amazing content!

Yu Choy 🥦🥦 picture taken by one of our farmers in Mexico. Did you know once your veggies leave the farm, it takes on average 6 days to get to NYC?

From there Yu Choy has another 6 day shelf life if stored correctly. However as the trucks are on their way up, about 4/5th of what’s in our trucks has already been sold 😈

Would you guys prefer to see more pictures from our farms? BTS in the warehouse? Product Photos? Let us know in the comments!

A lot of people always ask me, how did Asian Veggies start?

We put together a founders video for you to hear firsthand how it all began and where the business is headed next!

Big shoutout to shooting, editing, and directing the whole production! 🎥🎞📽

The NUMBERS are in! Earlier in April we mentioned we were going to donate 100% of our profits and send fresh to .

We ended up donating a total of 5️⃣9️⃣1️⃣5️⃣ pounds of veggies ‼️

Thanks to everyone who helped support the intiative and continue to support a small business like ours! We think it's important for local brands like ourselves to give back to the community and will continue to do so. Stay tuned for more 😇

For this weeks veggie appreciation post 🥬🥦🥒🍆, we are featuring Taishan Cauliflower!

AKA Fioretto Cauliflower. Usually grown in Mexico, these will take anywhere between 75-90 days before they're ready to harvest. One of my favorite dishes with these is to stir fry these with garlic, chinese sausage, scallion, chilis, soy sauce, and shaoxing cooking wine. If anyone has Cauliflower recipes, send them over! 👩🏼‍🍳 In the coming months as things start to get colder, you'll notice that prices of veggies will start to come down vs. what they used to be during the summer.

Did you know most of our chocolate 🍫🍫 comes from the Cacao Fruit?! 🥸

There’s a high chance everyone one of you have had Cacao without knowing it! Both the seed and the flesh in the fruit can be consumed, the seed is what’s used to make cocoa powder for all our chocolates! The flesh has a sweet fruity taste to it while the seeds have a rich intense chocolate taste. These are usually imported from South America.

What’s your favorite exotic fruit?

Should color coordinate our warehouse? This is just a sample of some of the snacks we stock 😅

I’m loving the color contrast 🌈 here across the dragon fruit, grapes, & rambutans. Rambutan an indigenous fruit from Southeast Asia are a personal favorite. My grandpa had a Rambutan tree in his backyard and would spend most of his days cutting down rambutans to give away to family/friends. It was almost a full time job tending to just one tree. Now most of the rambutans sold in the USA come from Honduras as they have the same tropical weather as Southeast Asia and it’s quicker to import fruits from there.

Right now markets have been flooded with 3 types of dragon fruits. Yellow Fruit, White Dragon Fruit, and Red Dragon Fruit, can you guess which is the pricier of the three?

Throwback to 18 months ago when first started. We barely have any photos together, the only time you’ll see pictures of my dad and I is when we’re out fishing on a boat 🥲. I remember when we were just launching this, I was calling my dad about 12x a day asking about all the various produce and where it came from.

Are any of you involved in the family business? What was it like when you were first got involved?

A yummy summer fruit basket I put together for my mom the day she told me she was craving asian fruits. I just love how plump longans get during their peak season 🤤.

What’s your favorite fruit from our site?

29/09/2021

Ever since I pivoted into the grocery business, I’ve strived to eat greener and cook more recipes from scratch! The one thing I love about asian vegetables is the variety 🥲. What’s in your fridge? And how much greens are you guys eating a day?

27/09/2021

Napa Cabbage for today’s 🥬 appreciation day! These are grown all over in Mexico, California, Canada, and Florida. But normally we get ours from Canada. Napa Cabbage is a staple across all asian cuisines as they’re typically used for quick stir frys or kimchi. It’s also a Chinese symbol for wealth and prosperity!

This weeks 🥬🥦🥒🍆 appreciation post is: LOTUS ROOT!

Also known as Lily Root. Growing up this was a classic veggie my mom used for Lotus Root Soup! She would make a pork stock and add peanuts with slices of abalone 😋. Most of our Lotus Root (at least where we source it from) is grown in California or imported from China, Lotus Roots are available year round. They have crunchy with a mild and nutty flavor similar to salsify or chestnut.

A Bok Choy appreciation post! Something about cracking open a fresh case of Bok Choy and seeing how fresh they are really!

WE HAVE AN ANNOUNCEMENT❗️❗️❗️

Introducing Heart of Veggies 🥬🥦🌽

Like all of you, we are heartbroken about the recent surge in hate crimes against the AAPI community. We are collectively grieving these attacks and hostility toward our community, which—as too many of us know firsthand—has been going on for a lot longer than these past few weeks.

But our community is resilient, and we know the power of partnership. That is why we are extremely excited to introduce our newest initiative, a collaboration with the incredible Chinatown-based organization : Heart of Veggies, an initiative to serve our Asian elders with care packages.

Starting tomorrow, Asian Veggies will be donating ALL OF OUR PROFITS towards veggies for Heart of Dinner over the next 3 weeks. These fresh veggies will be used to make care packages for our most vulnerable population, AAPI seniors. We are grateful for the opportunity to give back to our elders who have given us so much.

While we may be heartbroken right now, we will get through this moment of fear and separation by coming together. We hope that our veggies will not only be delicious, but that they will sow hope and healing in our community, and that together, we can begin to make our hearts full again 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼

WE’VE HIT A MILESTONE 3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣🥳

I originally created to help my dad out during the pandemic but now with 3,000+ followers, what started as a passion project has grown into a full on business. Each unique product we added has connected me to my roots. Months later, I still continue to turn to my grandma/mom for advice on what items to source and which brand they love. It’s also completely changed the way I eat! I’ve taken it upon myself to draw inspiration from/cook with all the raw ingredients we have on the site.🌶

To all my fellow home chefs, don’t be scared to try something new because it can turn into something more delicious than you imagined.🥝🍈🥦🥬🥒🫑

To all our awesome customers, thanks for joining us on this wild ride. I can’t wait to see what the new year brings ✨✨
