Just an outlet for when the urge to create something strikes
Day 1 of the pattern challenge β¨β¨ today is about doodles π―
I must say, it felt amazing to get out my watercolors and at some point I completely forgot what I was doing. I was just making marks on paper with my little brush π€€ such a good feeling and yet so often I seem to forget about it π₯²
I brought the marks into illustrator using on my phone, highly recommend if you don't have a scanner πΊ
Looking forward to day 2 πͺπΌ
I'm excited to take on the Fresh Fruit Fun drawing challenge π€©
Hosted by: | | | .drmanovski | | | | .dillon | π₯
I must admit, for as loosely drawn as I meant this to be, it sure took me a fair amount of time to transform them into a π
but it was worth it, I enjoyed the process immensely βΊοΈ swipe to see the repeat and a close up ππ
Since today is I decided to celebrate my inner child by learning something far out of my comfort zone πΊ
This little guy came out by following a tutorial by this I just found, π₯° I highly recommend her channel, she is so friendly and makes everything that I personally was scared of before seem easy and approachable π₯³
I would change and refine probably a dozen things about my little , but I am proud of my first ^^
Today I am over the mood excited, my cheeks hurt from how much I smiled ππ I got my first ever on with this cute mouse on a β€οΈ
I can't even put into words how it feels to finally see my dream coming true, making that actually spoke to another human being π€©
I love that this little mouse is the reason I opened my and it was the first thing that sold. Also, I named it The so it's only fitting to be on a π€©
Even the message I got from RedBubble gave me all the !
BTW, did you know that is running a ? Even this little guy is 25% off π I got the link to my shop in the bio π
Today's .. I guess I have wine on my mind π
Again, videos are so satisfying to me π€€ anyone else? π Fun fact: when the video appears to be slowing down, I'm actually filling in the gaps with that tiny π
What do you think of this work?
I actually had a day when I was feeling really uninspired but wanted to just hold a brush. So I said cool, I'll just make this little paper pieces filled with color and later I will cut them up and try mix media. And this was the last piece, I would even clean my brush on it just to see the effect. Then next day I was pacing around the house on the phone, not thinking and the flower just appeared. Now this little piece is my favorite thing that I made since I stared drawing and painting.
When you can't sleep and start painting π¬ but at least I went for a really small canvas π Happy Monday and a lovely week ahead!
Can't wait for this week's prompt from π€©
Last week the theme was to add metallic textures to a design and I wanted to make something that represents for me so this is the result. Do check out Cat's post, she gives away some gorgeous textures and teaches you how to use them in Photoshop. I'm still scared of that software, so here I ended up using and I'm so excited about the design on π
I'm so excited to participate to this challenge started by the amazing / surface designer / illustrator ! This week, for the challenge, the prompt is to make a seamless pattern.
I inspired mine from a page in my , and vectorised it using . It took forever to fill in the gaps, and I basically photograph the with every new petal drawn π But many many hours later, I'm happy with the result β€οΈ and I can't wait to get started on the other 15 patterns that I started until landing on this one.
If you wish to learn how to make a repeat pattern from catcoq classes, I have a free 14 days of link in the bio π
I found out about a while ago and this is what came out of it then. I didn't particularly liked some aesthetic aspects of it, but I placed it on my mood board to remind myself of the state of flow when drawing
Waves on the subway - is an artist and
She has a very calming voice, that's always something that keeps me taking an online class. And she has this concept and a slow drawing, slow living course that I combined here. So now I'm drawing waves in the subway, that's why I have very squiggly lines in there, but I actually like them like that. I highly recommend this quick and oh, so relaxing classes π
Some lines in the to start the day right π
Found this photo of some earrings I made ages ago and thought they deserve a page of my tiny βΊοΈ
With shading or without? π€
I had little to no time lately for drawing so I picked up an amazing book called to squeeze in at least a few minutes a day for this lovely habit βΊοΈ
I admit, I didn't follow all the instructions, but I'm having a lot of fun learning this
Still testing the π€© I might be in love with this one π€©
Since this drawing habit seems to become daily for me, I thought I would treat myself to some proper π From a quick search, seem to be standard, and after trying them I understand why.
Then on paper I saw that the community prefers very textured paper and those who make art really smooth white paper, like Bristol.
From the first tests, I think I see myself going for a 05 liner on brisol paper and forgetting everything else π€
What is your go-to paper for / ?
3 creatures (aka today's unwinding after work)
Trying my hand at zentangle. I like that I mess up a lot but it's not visible at first glance because it's just patterns π€©
I found my old shop!!! About 4-5 years ago I had a couple of months obsessed with and all things vectors and learned about this magic thing called π€©
Then other things had my attention and development became my biggest passion and forgot about this little attempt βΊοΈ still a fond memory of mine
