Pay attention to those around you, and let them know how much they mean to you on a daily basis. From the people that make your food to the person that greets you coming into work every day.

Things have been very overwhelming for a long time. Politics, illness, death, and copious amounts of stress. You may feel like nothing you do can make it better.

You, my friend, need a cheering section.

Post your victories, whether they are big or small. Tell us what's going on. Then share this post so we can add to the cheering section!!

It's Blue Monday, typically the saddest day of the year. It's a combination of longer nights, post holiday guilt, and a sense of impending dread with a long string until the next holiday (typically Easter but some places might not grant time off until as far as Memorial Day).

What are some of your tips to cope with Blue Monday?

Feel free to share!

Hey guys, I am looking to expand my website onto various other platforms. Among this is a weekly podcast that discusses various mental health issues in an informative sort of way. But I'm still stuck in the startup phase with equipment and other expenses.

Please follow Movember all year long and help fight the stigma surrounding men's mental health.

“Suicide was not a foreign concept to me; I’d just failed to comprehend how anything could be so perceivably bad for someone that it would merit taking their own life. I’d always thought, “there’s no way I would ever let that happen to me: I’m stronger than that.” But here I was… And therein lies the problem: mental illness does not discriminate. Yet societally—as men in particular—we’ve been conditioned to feel that an inability to take care of our own problems singlehandedly is a weakness; that not having all the answers makes us less than; that being vulnerable is unattractive; that asking for help is a threat to our masculinity, and is thus something to be ashamed of. And it is literally killing us.

Let’s, as men, help flip the script and re-enforce—for individuals on both sides of the fence—that it’s okay to reach out; to ask for help; to be a shoulder for someone, even when you don’t have the answers; to create a safe space for the people we love. And not only is there no shame in it, but we need to encourage it—because it really can save lives. The fact that I’m here today is proof of that.” - Tyler Cowan (Toronto)

Some Christmas Words... 25/12/2020

Merry Christmas!! I thought I would take a few minutes to share some thoughts with you guys.

Please feel free to share!

Some Christmas Words... For some of you, this might be the first time coming across this site. Others have been patiently waiting for additional content. Let me begin by apologizing... I started this website as an impersonal way to share the struggles of mental health issues and illnesses. I had been dealing with anxiety a...

This is wrong on so many levels. And if this is how healthcare is being handled, imagine the attention being paid to mental health.

Are you thriving or just surviving? The COVID pandemic has created a concurrent crisis around mental health. We all need to be taking care of each other, but that includes ourselves. This is especially true for healthcare workers. This site from the Colorado Healthcare Ethics Resource Group offers information and resources to help address the anxiety and stress that can, if left unaddressed, deteriorate into crisis. https://cohcwcovidsupport.org/

This. Is. WRONG!

Your feelings are valid. You have a right to feel the way you do, and no one has the right to take that from you.

Just wanted to share a quick update with you guys...

I have not forgotten about this project in the least. Truth be told, I started going to therapy and had to confront some personal demons that had been haunting me for a long time. Now that I have a clearer mindframe, I'm able to focus better on making this website work.

Keep an eye out for posts soon where I will be asking for specific types of content. I plan on utilizing the new year to raise awareness on a TON of mental health issues that matter to me and (most importantly) things that matter to you as well.

If anyone wants to contribute, you can via PayPal at [email protected]

Hey guys, I know it's been a bit but hopefully I won't be gone too much longer.

1. TGIF !!
2. I'm working on some fundraising options to start making donations to non-profit mental health organizations (and hopefully raise enough to get this website off the ground.)
3. If you would like to contribute, you can send through PayPal to [email protected].

I figured you guys mighy need a friendly reminder. Thanks Brian Haner.

The relapse and overdose rate has increased by 30% since March 2020. Mental health issues related to our lock down and the pandemic are especially hard for people with depression.
NAMI, The National Alliance on Mental Health has a 24-hour helpline: 800-950-6264.
Now, I’m asking my small corner of FB to follow suit: Could any two of my Facebook friends just copy and repost to share the helpline far and wide?
Just two. Any two. Say done.

Now that I have your attention...

Mental health across the globe is in the dumps. The problem is that no one wants to talk about it.

The goal with this project is to raise awareness of the silent battles people are facing, give them an outlet to share and express, and support nonprofits that fight the battle to end the stigma with mental health.

I need your help to get this off the ground, get the advertising and capability needed to put this in front of people. Please donate via PayPal to [email protected] or use the link on the donate page.

And as always, please like and share!!
