I’ll be real witcha, I’m kinda glad it’s fall. But hey, look!, I grew some things.. 😆
Burnout season is upon us, it’s when our bodies are naturally transitioning to rest mode (soups, sleeps + so on..) but life still goes on and often time we’re unable to rest. This is when I reach for my nourishing herbs, adaptogenic roots and immuno-modulating plants/ mushrooms.
Some examples are nettles, reishi or turkeytail mushroom, ashwagandha, licorice, eleuthero + echinacea root.. yum yum yum 🤤
Also haven’t been super loud about it this season, but I’m still running my bell tent clinic out in Rice point. DM or email me if your curious. 🍂🌻
Elsewhere Herbal has got a new face, created by the ever-talented and oh so wonderful 💕
www.charlieraewalker.com
I’ve only done two rows so far at the farm and I’ve been pretty hard on myself for it. I’m working on changing my inner dialogue to be much kinder, telling myself it’s ooookay and that I’m doing enough. Giving updates like this sometimes makes me feel disappointed, but I also like to share the small victories of my tiny herbal biz.
Clinic is still open if anyone wants a consultation for customized herbal formulas. Oh, and starting next week I’ll be at the Downtown Charlottetown Farmer’s market every Sunday till October. (10-3)
LOL (lots of love),
Kayel 💘

Valerian root medicine can sometimes be polarizing. I’m on team valerian all the way, just one sniff of this sweet and stinky plant and my whole body relaxes from tension I didn’t even know I was holding onto.
When I look at valerian in bloom I see a strong and capable stock holding up loose and feathery leaves reminding me to stand tall without tension. The roots can’t help but remind me of nerves.
Today I harvested it’s roots and made some fresh tincture. First harvest of the year! 🥹✨

-earth first choices
-friendly + heart centred connection
-humble beginnings of a herb farm
Also, I’m listening to what the community wants/ needs, I am open to suggestions. 🦋🌸
A pic of maidenhair fern growing from the cracks of a wall in Lisbon..
+ a lil reminder to folks near Charlottetown that the Etsy market is tomorrow, 10-5 at the Delta!
Looking forward to chatting with fellow herb nerds + perhaps the plant curious? 😸🦋🌸
Find me at booth 84 (somewhere in the very middle of the action!)
💛 One of the elsewhere’s I get to go… 💛
Welcome to the future site of Elsewhere Herbal farm 🌻🌛🌳
I spent some time walking the land observing wind patterns, noticing what plant remains I could see and just getting myself acquainted. Located on the outskirts of Emyvale, PE 🦋🐇
Can you guess the herbs in this tea? There’s a few clues giving a couple of the plants away, the purple flowers could be misleading and there’s one herb you can hardly see.
This blend is calming, uplifting + antispasmodic 😌🫖
(Psst, the answer is in the second pic.. 😉)
Here’s a glimpse of winter markets gone by..
Going forward I plan to:
-offer herbal medicine consultation and customized herbal formulas
-find practitioners who would like to purchase the herbs I’ve grown in bulk
-sell/ trade products that I’ve made from herbs I’ve grown and organically grown herbs
-get a website going
My #1 values are herbal vitality, accessibility of care/ wellness + authenticity.
If you’d like to get in touch, either send me a message or an email

Saúde!
The gardens say it’s time to rest now, but in actuality it’s been go time for a lot of us.
I’m super thankful for my current tincture blend of milky oat seed, lemon balm, borage + eleuthero to get me through market season. I’m also very thankful for each kind gesture from friends and strangers who have supported me in my baby beginnings of this business. (It honestly means a lot!)
🌟Catch me + some herbal goodies at the Artisan Christmas Market in the Charlottetown farmer’s market building this Sunday (tomorrow), 10-3 for one last ‘hoorah!’ 🌟
🫖 cool as a cucumber 🫖: herbal tea from my garden to your teapot.
Ft. the cooling nervous system support of lemon balm, skullcap, chamomile + sunshiny calendula.
For nervous bellies, fire-y personalities and chillin’ anytime of the day.
✨🌲 PEI folks can find me + my herbal wares at the artisan Christmas market held at the Charlottetown farmer’s market this Sunday (Dec. 11) + the next one (Dec. 18) 🌲✨
It’s nice to know where your herbs come from. 🫠🍃
This is a blend of tea I call ‘at ease’, it contains holy basil, motherwort, calendula + milky oat seed. All of these plants were grown in my garden in Rice point, PE.🦋
It’s been a gooood growing season,
not without it’s challenges..
But if I put on my flower goggles, at least I’ll get a giggle or two. 🙃🌼
🕸🍂 Unfortunately, downtown was absolutely devastated by the storm so the last Sunday market was canceled. Big thanks to the downtown Charlottetown farmer’s market + all the folks who came down to chat about plants. It was a wonderful summer of Sundays in the pink tent!
So you know, here are my current offerings:
🌻Sliding scale herbal medicine clinic available online via Telehealth or in person in a private meeting room at the downtown library (had to take town the office tent pre-storm)
💐Customized herbal formulas made from herbs that I have grown, dried + processed myself or sourced from an organic grower. Formulas could be in the form of dried herb, encapsulated, tinctures, herbal honey, oil infusion, etc.
🍄Small batch pre-blended herbal teas + other seasonal herbal offerings
🌵Bulk orders of single herbs I have dried in abundance (list coming soon..)
K, take care out there! 💕💕
