When you shop for sale items, always visualize the whole look, rather than buying random items that won't go together.

If you happen to find your wardrobe boring, you can always add a clothing piece with an
interesting print. For example, a skirt with a zebra print (a big trend of spring-summer 2022).
It is not hard to pair up a busy print with other pieces in order to get stylish and not a very
“busy” looking outfit.
a) The easiest way to style any print is to pair it up with a clothing piece that has one of
the colours in the print (for example, there are 2 major colours in our zebra skirt -
black and white. So, any black and/or white top/accessories will be perfect).
b) If you really want to add colours, then pair up your print piece with solid colour
pieces.
c) Try not to exceed 3 colours in the same outfit (otherwise your look could appear too
overwhelming). For example, look through the carousel. You will find black, white
and orange or light green pieces. Or black, white and blue colours in one outfit.

How long does it take you to dress STYLISH before you leave the house?

I understand it’s a subjective question and we can start debating for hours on what stylish means.

But let’s avoid the debate and think about it.

𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁. 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵.

Something like to go out, go on a date, to a party, club or some sort of function and/or an event. This is when I wore my “nice” clothes, coordinated accessories and shoes.

Very often one hour wasn’t enough and I often ended up being late (frantically leaving the house with a pile of unwanted pieces that were ripped off hangers and did not look good on me).

𝑶𝒏 𝒂𝒏 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒊𝒔 𝑰 𝒅𝒊𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚  𝒅𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒖𝒑. 𝑰 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝒃𝒐𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈, 𝒔𝒊𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆, “𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓” 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔.

If I remembered, I would add one or two accessories (but often I forgot).

But even dressing in “whatever” style took me 15-20 minutes.  Because “this top does not go with this pants”, or “this dress makes me look fat”, or “omg, where did this stain come from”?

….𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗱𝗼 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 “𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿” 𝗰𝗹𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀.

I leave my house looking stylish every time.  The weather doesn’t really matter; the occasion doesn’t really matter. I make sure I love what and who I see in the mirror before I step out.

And it only takes me 5 minutes. FIVE! For the fully coordinated stylish look that includes appropriate accessories (and changing purses with all the contents).

I LOVE colours so instead of responding to this question as stories, I decided to make a post out of it so it does not disappear.

Recent lockdowns forced us to re-evaluate many things and change ways we go about routine chores. 🚶‍♀

When I look back a year and a half ago, when stores first closed down, I remember how unusual it was not being able to go to the store and browse along clothing racks.

I did do some shopping online before, but it was before I learnt about styling, wardrobe organization and ways to create stylish looks with minimum clothing items.

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙤𝙣𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙨𝙩. 🙅‍♀️

𝙄 𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙨𝙩𝙮𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙗𝙤𝙪𝙩 𝙝𝙖𝙡𝙛 𝙖 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙗𝙚𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙠𝙙𝙤𝙬𝙣.

I remember that I had lots of homework back then where I had to create outlooks for different fashion styles and trends; I also had to build capsules for different life occasions.

𝑨𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏. 🤯🤯

So I had to become creative and, once given permission from my facilitator, started working on the looks through online stores.

𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝘁. 😍🤩

I find so many advantages in online shopping: no crowds, no chances of getting exposed to bacteria or virus; no wasting time in traffic, no line ups; I can shop any time (and not when I am off) and so on.

I never liked clothing shopping before and considering how easy it is now to shop online, I really do not see myself going back to a mall for clothing.

I just fell in love with clothing style.
If I could I would probably buy 90% of the store (its clothing completely fits my personality and message I would like to convey to the world: classy, creative and modern).

I have not bought anything yet from them, because I am still researching about customs fees. Also the return policy is not that great (you only have 7 days to decide and because I would ship items from Canada, I would have to pay $20 fee).

Hello.

I created a very practical and warm capsule wardrobe. It probably won't keep you warm if you live in -20C zone.

Even though it is cold and miserable here in Canada, I started building my spring closet with bright colours.

Do you feel sometimes that you have to look perfect, be perfect? Maybe not even sometimes, but all the time.
I put off so many things because I always wanted to be perfect. I did not even bother trying because I thought I would not succeed any ways because I was.....well, not perfect.
I ignored my style or even nice clothing because my figure was not perfect, and in my opinion only people with perfect figure could look stylish.
It took me years to finally reprogram my brain and realize that I do not have to be perfect. Nobody does.
It took a lot of mindfulness, self-reflection, and books to finally accept myself the way I am: in my perfectly imperfect way.
