The SWAG Pride and Power Club is open for membership! The club is for students and by students who are interested in feminism and the intersections of identity with s*x, gender, and s*xuality. We are planning to hold a wide range of social events starting in the fall, such as a Neon Dance Night, a S*x Positivity Workshop, and an All-Genders Clothing Swap.
If you’d like to get involved and be a part of this club, email [email protected] so we can add you to our membership list!
Even though this event has passed, and our SWAG social media was just getting started at the time of this event, we were lucky that one of our team members, Alyx, was there and grabbed some great shots of the day. We wanted to highlight the Women’s Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, held on campus on February14th this year, because we feel it’s important for people to know about.
The Women’s Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls is held every year on February 14th in remembrance and in honour of the lives of missing and murdered women and girls.
The 1st meeting of the SWAG Pride and Power club will be held today!
SWAG Pride and Power is a club for students and by students who are interested in feminism and the intersections of identity with s*x, gender, and s*xuality.
The club is now actively open for membership, with the 1st meeting happening today at 3pm in the VIU Library. There is no cost, and perks are taking part and helping plan fun social activities in a feminist, ally community.
We will be meeting inside the front of the library beside Starbucks at 3pm and will then proceed to a table or a room depending on the group size.
See you there!
Here are the guest speakers for our International Women’s Day Event today, March 8th, from 12-1 pm in the VIU Theatre Lobby.
