The United Kingdom (UK) finally changes travel rules for fully vaccinated travellers from Nigeria.

The 19th century Rome's famed "Iron Bpridge" has been damaged by a high fire on Saturday night. This has caused part of this iconic bridge to plunge into the River Tiber.

The iron bridge also known as Ponte dell'Industria (Industry Bridge)
connects Ostiense and Portuense neighbourhoods. It was opened in the year 1863.

The fire broke out on the eve of elections for the next mayor, in which the main issue has been the general decay of infrastructure and public services in the Italian capital.

Officials said there were no injures from the fire, which was visible from afar as flames shot into the night sky.

Media reports said it may have been started by a short circuit in shacks below the bridge. Firefighters said the blaze, which was put out during the night, was fuelled by a damaged gas pipe.

Surrounding areas were left without electricity for several hours.

The bridge, used for busy road traffic between the two neighbourhoods, was closed indefinitely pending checks on its safety.

The Nigeria Women's National Basketball Team, D'Tigress have won the 2021 Africa FIBA championship, Cameroun 2021.

D’Tigress cemented their status as Africa’s top basketball team with a comfortable 70-59 victory over Mali in the final in Cameroun’s capital Yaounde.

So many have applauded their latest title.

DR CHIKE AKUNYILI FOUND DEAD

Chike Akunyili, medical practitioner and husband to late Pharm. Dora Akunyili has been confirmed dead.

The incident happened yesterday Tuesday 28 September, 2021 somewhere around Idemili North LGA in Anambra State. The incident has been said to be carried out by Unknown gun men.

Dr. Chike was reported to have attended a meeting for University of Nigeria, Nsukka Alumni Association. During the meeting, it was reported that he donated a sum of #500 thousand naira to support the association.

Investigations are on to discover the perpetrators of this horrible crime.

May his soul rest in perfect peace.
