It's that time of year again! The season of giving and spreading joy to those in need. This year, we are excited to announce our participation in the Secret Santa Senior Shoebox program. This program provides gifts and essential items to seniors in our community who may not have family or resources to celebrate the holiday season.

We are asking for your help to make this holiday season special for these deserving seniors. Any donation, big or small, will help bring a smile to the face of a senior in need. Any amount will help us reach our goal of R15,000 this year.

We know that times may be tough for some of us, but any contribution will make a difference. Let's come together and spread some holiday cheer to those who need it most.

Last week, our community came together to raise funds for an orphaned high school student named Tayshaan. Tayshaan, who has been in foster care for most of her life, was in danger of missing out on her farewell dance due to lack of funds for school fees.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to raise enough money to cover her school fees and ensure that she can attend her farewell dance. It's heartwarming to see our community come together to support one of our own and help make a positive difference in Tayshaans life. It takes a village!

We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to this cause, and we're glad that Tayshaan will be able to celebrate this special moment with her classmates. This is what community is all about – coming together to support each other and make sure that no one is left behind.

Thank you to everyone who donated and helped make this possible. Your generosity will not be forgotten, and we know that it will make a huge difference in Tayhaans life.

And not forgetting Macnita Cloete who was so willing to offer her time and generosity in bringing this young lady story to our Outreach Team.

This beautiful young lady on the left, Tayshaan, found herself in this unfortunate situation. She is surrounded by a few loving angels who reached out to our outreach team.

We are so grateful that we were able to rally our local Gordons Bay community to come to her aid. Tayshaan graduated and gets to attend her farewell dance this month! We will share the follow up photos of her in her gown.

The Festive Season is usually associated with holiday cheer, Christmas trees and Jingle Bells. If you are fortunate to have these associations with this time of year, what a blessing.

Thank you all for your kind donations to help with our Senior Santa Shoeboxes drive this year. Santa’s Elves, our wonderful volunteers, were hard at work. We filled 40 boxes with loving kindness and delivered them to the Helderberg Society for the Aged yesterday ❤️🎄

Our Inspiration for The Meischke Way Foundation is Ferdinand Meischke. A gentle giant who stood head and shoulders above his fellow man.

At his eulogy, which will be shared on the website, www.TheMeischkeWay.org, these prophetic words were shared by a colleague.

"Think of the legacy he left you -- a curiosity about life, a hunger for knowledge, a passion for travel, an example of a life whose riches owe little to money, a sense that anything is possible if you work hard, a model of what a father should be. Those are all great gifts."

The countdown has begun. Our team is raising funds to provide the residents of the Helderberg Aged Society with Christmas gifts. We have a list of contents for men and woman and have raised over R2,200 already.
