It's been an emotional year so far! The February Full Moon reminds us to keep the faith, to restore our hope, and to know that change in any form, can always lead us to places we never dreamed of imagining for ourselves.
We begin our practice with a light teaching about the astrological significance of this full moon, followed by a deeply relaxing Gentle to Restorative practice, and Yoga Nidra (guided meditation).
The full Virgo Moon's appearance in our night sky, brings balance, a sense of centering, and groundedness into our lives. Restorative yoga helps us soak up all of this beautiful Virgo energy!

What is Restorative Yoga? Simply put, Restorative Yoga is the practice of releasing. It allows us to learn the art of relaxation while cultivating the ability to self-soothe through the support of props and the breath.
You don't have to be physically flexible to enjoy Restorative Yoga. You'll typically practice just a few restful postures that are meant create a state of overall calm and deep relaxation. If you can do savasana, you can do Restorative!
By enhancing our healing capacity, balancing the nervous system, and creating space for stillness, Restorative Yoga is the antidote to our stressed out, over stimulated bodies and minds.

On this first full moon of the year we will explore the energies that are alive in the night sky and how we can navigate them with courage and an open heart.
We begin our practice with a light teaching about the astrological significance of this full moon, followed by a deeply relaxing Gentle to Restorative practice, and Yoga Nidra (guided meditation).
We will recenter the mind and body as we prepare to ground ourselves with the courage of Leo. This workshop is open to all levels of yoga students.

**Must sign up for class an hour before start time.
Using props you'll find in your home, we'll begin with gentle movement leading to 3-4 deeply relaxing restorative poses with guided meditations, Yoga Nidra. Relax and unwind from the stresses of the day so you can sleep in peace.
This class will require a few props from around your house! Suggested items: 2-bed pillows, 2 smaller pillows, 2-3 small to medium blankets or large towels, 3-4 large hardback books, a long scarf or necktie, and 1 beach towel.
Easing into 2021 with yoga and dreaming. I spent some time yesterday working on systems in my house that will help my family have an easeful, focused, healthy lifestyle this year. Today I'm spending some time getting clear on what I want to create personally this year.
