Paying a little tribute to a really great maine graphic - the Dirigo Flag! The Dirigo flag flew from 1901 to 1909 as Maine’s state flag - but it’s seen a renaissance in recent years, largely due to its beautiful simplicity!

Voila! Loving this textured and oxidized chain - still forcing myself downstairs in the evenings - feels a little bit like I’m faking it till I make it. Making jewelry makes me happy, and I’m struggling right now with the heaviness of being a mom with young children after 2+ long years of COVID. To say I’m in a funk feels like a pretty big understatement but I’m trying to put one foot in front of the other and I’ve forward one day at a time. ❤️❤️❤️

Today I’m feeling excited because I’m wrapping up a custom order for a dear old (but young 😆) friend who asked me to make two custom pieces for her best friends’ milestone birthday. ❤️

I’ll be honest it’s daunting taking custom orders and hoping they live up to expectations, but I’m so excited about both of these pieces and how they turned out 🎉❤️

I’m giving myself permission to make simple everyday pieces instead of over complicating. As an artist, I feel like I need to invent something new and exciting that’s never been designed, but if I’m being honest, it’s the simple dainty or simple statement pieces that I love the most!

I’m so so excited to be able to be a part of the Maker’s Market. This is similar to the “wouldn’t it be amazing to move to Maine” moments that snowballed back in 2018. Every time I’m at the Maker’s Market I always said “what if someday” and now - October is someday! 😲😲😲

Spring is ALMOST here. But if I’m being honest, I’ve got my eye on March 13 - the day when I’ll put my kids to bed WHILE ITS LIGHT OUT.
This is honestly bigger than Christmas for me. Mid February I tend to hit a wall, no matter how well I think I’ve been surviving the winter blues. Counting down the days to the clock reset.

Some nights I clean up - some nights I can’t bear the thought. Been creating plenty but not posting a lot lately - if I’m going to put effort into any part of this, it’s got to be the creative part or I’ll burn out. Eventually I’ll catch up with photography and showing you all what I’ve been working on! Lots of fun things in the works!

It’s been a slow start to the year here - I’ve been working a lot on back end business stuff, applying to shows, organizing information for taxes, photographing, organizing, buying, and most excitingly, rearranging.

Very excited that in the next month or so I’m moving my studio out of the unfinished side of our basement into my previous WFH office - more to come on progress!
