Guarantee and warranty,
Hi there!
At Hidden Touch Wood Creations (HTWC), we are proud of our work. And we scoff at complicated legalese. Here is our policy:
At HTWC, we stand behind our work, period. If you have a problem, we will fix it or remake the project. And, weβll work with you to ensure you understand how to care for your wood project.
Be sure to let us know if you have a question.
Cheers!
Oh man! It has been a good long while since a post has been made. We have had some completed projects, scheduled a few more for the coming month as well. He are some photos of a few that we have finished.
Don't mind the messy shop. We have just been absolutely covered up and I have a tendency to come through like a natural disaster.
Keep an eye out, we have some really cool projects planed this year along with normal work. There could be some opportunities for changes in your decor!
1/2... accent tables! We missed the color by quite alot but nothing that can be fixed.
3.... Party Bar this one was alot of fun. Our miter saw quit about 1/2 way through the trim work. Noting a table saw can't cure.
4-6.... Coffee table build. Rainbow poplar on hair pin legs. YES! The legs are purple. Why you ask, because why not. π
7. RIP miter saw
8/9 Wedding gift made for my brother in law. Pine round with metallic green epoxy in lay
10. Deer blind/epoxy curing booth!!!
Yall have a great day! See you in the shop!!
Dan
KY div.
Merry Christmas from our families to yours!
With the looming winter storm here in KY all large projects are halted until tomorrow, I need the door up for long table saw cuts. This gives us the opportunity to work on smaller projects. Current project is an urn to honor a retired service dog.
With this being said let's explain the clamps. We are making a simple miter jointed box. We are going to use minimal metal hardware, so this requires more glue and evenly distributed pressure. I NEED MORE CLAMPS!!! Coming into this trade I have always heard you can not have enough clamps. As we progress into more diverse projects we are learning this is a rule, not a suggestion π.
If there is a woodworker, carpenter, or any of the sort and you need gift ideas. Clamps, they want clamps.
Stay warm tonight! Thank you for following us on this journey as we begin and build a business passionate about making the space more beautiful and elegant.
Pictured is retired PTSD service dog Bo Duke.
(Do not fret, he has ears. Bo is wear his ear and eye pro while working at Southern Kentucky Granite with his handler.)
Let's cut some circles!!!
We mentioned a few days ago about local sources and reclaimed material. Not quite finished with this bad boy but it did come straight off a kentucky farm.
Absolutely beautiful aged oak, lightly sanded to keep the rough sawn look, and then finished with a satin polyrethane.
Bolstering a 3 1/2in cup holder, it should stand the test of most drinks. Except for the freakishly large cups so of us like.
This is a sofa arm coaster. We extended the length just a hair to set phones or remotes on top.
We will add felt into the cup holder to help with moisture, then add some felt to the inside so as to protect the couch.
π€ fist bump for π earth!!!
Sustainability and global stewardship are on everyone's mind. As we are kind to each other, so must we be kind to Earth.
Hidden Touch Wood Creations makes home dΓ©cor items and gifts. Our concern about sustainability is why we enjoy working primarily with Walnut, Maple, Cherry, and Oak hardwoods. These species and their related woods are primarily produced in the United States using our fellow citizens' labor.
Nevertheless, beautiful, exotic wood species are also available, like Pauduk, Bloodwood, Yellow Heart, Zebra Wood, and others. Although perhaps marketed as sustainably sourced, one never knows. I know however, that your actions can help.
When is the last time you planted a hardwood tree in your yard?
π Fist bump for Earth! Cheers!
