This weekend, 42 Prague students and staff joined the Prague Pride Parade 🌈
Why? Well, we believe that equality and respect are the foundation of any great system — whether it's in programming or in life. Walking in the parade was our way of celebrating the unique identities that make our community as wonderful as it is.
We’re proud to stand up for a world where everyone can live authentically. Both online and off. 🏳️🌈
IT kemp pro středoškoláky? Umíme! 😎
Na začátku srpna jsme na kampusu 42 Prague přivítali 55 žáků středních škol. Během 5 dní se seznámili se základy programování, vyvinuli si vlastní webovou stránku, a mimo jiné vyzkoušeli i práci softwarového testera.
A hlavně — jejich výuka probíhala částečně formou peer-to-peer, kdy na projektech pracovali společně, a navzájem si potom odvedenou práci i hodnotili.
Vše se uskutečnilo ve spolupráci s , a v rámci obsáhlého doprovodného programu od a .studio se účastníci například ponořili do virtuální reality.
Děkujeme všem, kteří se na kempu podíleli 💗. Se středoškoláky jsme pracovali poprvé, ale rozhodně ne naposled 💪.

We recently hosted an enlightening event focused on UX design with ! The event was structured around two key sessions:
1️⃣ Štefan Doležal illustrated how design systems can synchronize the digital ecosystem. His live demonstration emphasized the significance of maintaining consistency and unity across various digital platforms.
2️⃣ Jan Rudinský provided an interesting and surprising view into user-centred research, showing how customers are involved in vehicle HMI interface design.
A heartfelt thank you to our insightful speakers for underscoring the increasing relevance and importance of UX design in the current digital age! As well as to our students for a fantastic turnout and lively discussion.

❓ Your Core Curriculum is finished. How are you feeling?
💭 Relieved! It has been a ride, with ups and downs, and it definitely feels like an achievement. I decided to go all in for it 18 months ago, and it feels like exactly that, with all the thrills. But for me, it was a good gamble. I managed to learn a ton, requalify for IT, even though I am almost 40 and never worked in this area before, and find a new job along the way that will provide for my family. I would say, mission accomplished!
❓ If you could go back in time to your Piscine, what would you tell yourself?
💭 It will be better! And don't hate C, you will gladly return to low level languages at the end, after many adventures :).
❓ What was the highlight of your studies?
💭 Three things:
That “AHA” moment that I got to experience many times during the studies — after my brain fried on multiple occasions. Pure joy!
My peers — amazing people that I would not meet or get to know otherwise.
Super supportive staff that were always there to support my chosen path.
❓ What's next for you?
💭 I am not done with 42 yet! I am interested in multiple projects in the Advanced Curriculum, and I am aiming for level 7 RNCP certification. This already started with my first Internship, and I am already working on some of the projects.

Malware 💀. We all know to avoid it, but what exactly does the term encompass?
A few weeks ago, 42 Prague student and IT Security Engineer Fortune Okon hosted a special event for his peers, where he introduced the various types of malware. He shared essential tools and best practices for detecting malicious software and explained the benefits of reverse engineering these programs.
A big thank you to Fortune for sharing his expertise!
Working as an orchestral librarian (did you know such a job even exists?! 🎺🎻📚), John Cummins saw a lot of potential in making his workflow more efficient with programming. When he learned about 42 Prague, he took his chance to upskill.

Huge news from 42 Prague! Last week, we had the first team of students validate the last project in the Core Curriculum 🥳
This milestone marks a huge step in their journey towards becoming software engineers. Being part of the first student batch inaugurating the campus back in January of 2023, they tackled increasingly difficult projects with endeavour and determination. In doing so, we’ve witnessed them grow both as IT experts and excellent teammates 🚀.
Kudos to Štěpán Beneš, Naomi Hasalů, Gabriela Tan, Filip Farkas and Tomáš Kajánek for trailblazing the way for your peers and achieving something extraordinary 👏.

A lot of happy faces & a big challenge to tackle! On Monday, we kicked off our third Piscine of the year 🏊♀️🐠
For these Pisciners, June will be a month full of trial and errors. They’ll have plenty of opportunities to learn about coding, their peers, and, most importantly, themselves.
Our month-long admission bootcamp is a one-of-a-kind experience that will test one’s grit and determination. And the result is, therefore, unforgettable.
Dear Pisciners, by now, you know the drill. But just in case — don’t panic!
What’s the future of the driving experience? Smart assistants, enhanced protection, or no human drivers at all? organized a special event exclusively for 42 Prague to help us find out! 🚙🔮
Our students had the pleasure of exploring the automotive world with several hands-on demos of disruptive technologies being developed by Digiteq, culminating in a panel discussion with some of their top managers, including Digiteq Automotive CEO Wilhelm Schmitt.
A massive thank you to our partner for organizing such an inspiring event 🙌.

This week, over 100 new students have kicked off their Core Curriculum studies! Having proven their dedication and grit during our spring selection bootcamps, they now embark on a journey to build a solid foundation in computer science and programming.
The goal? In 12 to 18 months, grow into a junior software engineer. After that? Conquer the world 👑!

This week, we’re hosting a Discovery Piscine — a 5-day course introducing the basics of web development and essential programming concepts 🔗
Joining us on this journey are 49 brave souls, most of whom never touched the console before! At the end, however, they will be leaving with an elementary knowledge of Shell, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. And who knows, maybe they’ll feel ready to join a full-fledged Piscine later in summer👩🚀🚀.
