Update: Order statuses. open slots and a first look at my next kit.

Order Statuses:
Hi everyone, sorry for not putting out more updates since my last one. I’ll be honest, the last 6 months have been a bit of a nightmare, between the months of postal strikes, dozens of packages going missing as a result of the disruptions, and then when I think things have finally improved in January, the royal mail suffers a cyber attack that causes all international shipping to be suspended for almost 6 weeks. Fun, eh?

Since the Royal Mail resumed international shipping at the end of February, I’ve been working on getting all my remaining orders out, I’ve been shipping them in smaller batches to ensure that if any did go missing due to months of backlog, it would be limited to smaller numbers. I know this means it has taken longer to get those kits out (And many of you have been waiting far too long) but I’m forever thankful for the incredible patience, understanding, and kindness from you guys.

I’ve only got a handful of Mountains and Parasite Queens that are still yet to ship, and I’ll be contacting those people about their orders soon. Similarly, I’m working my way through the winter sale orders and I only have a handful of them left to fulfill as well. All I can ask is for a little bit more patience to get those last few pre-existing orders out.

Once again, your patience and understanding over these past few months have been nothing short of amazing, thank you so much!

Open Slots:
Through printing the parts for the Winter sale orders (and sometimes losing track of exactly how many of each part I have printed) I’m left with a few extra slots for some of my previous kits, I’ve got 3 slots for Tusk, 2 for Mountain, 1 for the Parasite Queen and a bunch of Flying Fortress. If anyone is interested in these please let me know.

A first look at my next kit:

Now that there are only a handful of orders that are left to fulfill, I thought I'd give you guys a first look at my next kit. I felt it was time to update another of my older kits. It’s much more accurate and has a greater range of articulation. I can only hope you guys like it too. I’m going to be doing print tests and durability tests and once it's ready to go I’ll announce it for preorder so please keep an eye out for that.

Hi everyone, I hope you’re all having a good holiday season. I wanted to give you guys an update. As I mentioned in my last update post, I was waiting to see if a batch of kits got out of the UK safely before shipping any more kits due to having several kits going missing, the last thing I want is for your kits to end up missing when you’ve waited so long for them.

The kits from that last batch have made their way out of the UK so I am confident enough to restart shipping kits! I’m sorry for just how long it’s taken to get a lot of these kits out but I’m glad to say they’ll begin shipping in early January! For those of you who unfortunately did have had kits go missing, I’ll be contacting you shortly about arranging replacement kits to be sent to you.

Thank you so much for your patience this year, it’s been a bit of a rough one and I’m incredibly lucky to have such an understanding and kind community, it truly means the world.

First and foremost, I want to apologise for how long it has taken to get the mountain kits out, they’re still all packed away and ready to go but due to how frequent the Royal Mail strikes have been as well as many packages going missing as a result, I’ve been cautious about sending things out. I’m trying to get them out to you as fast as possible and I’m trying my best. Please understand.

PC-008: Parasite Queen

I am very excited to announce the next action figure model kit from Photon Collectibles, PC-008: Parasite Queen. The Parasite Queen stands 13cm tall with 20 points of articulation. The kit also comes with a figure stand and a pair of attacking arms.

Update: Parasite production, anniversaries and 20 new slots!

Hi everyone! I thought id give everyone a quick update! The packaging for the new parasites is due to arrive in a week, so if everything arrives on time, I should be able to start shipping the first batch shortly after that!

Today also marks two years since I made my very first, very crude prototype for the original parasites. It’s been a long and difficult two years for all of us, I’m so grateful that you’ve all supported me over the last two years and I’m looking forward to showing you all what I have planned in the future!

Hi everyone! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope you’re all having a great time!

Tusk is almost finished, I’m waiting for the post office to open back up next week to get the last few batches out, I’ll be sending everyone’s tracking information then. 2021 has been a rough year for all of us. I had my injury in September caused delays of 6 weeks or more, thankfully the recovery was fast and there are only some lingering issues that should be healed by this time next year. Your overwhelming love and support meant more to me than you’d probably think, it means so much to me that all of you were so understanding and so supportive of me. I hope those of you who have revived your kits are pleased with them and I can’t wait to get those last few out to those who are waiting, thank you so much again for your continued love, support and patience.

And with another project coming to a close, another will be on its way. I thought given the time of the year I would share a first look at the next project, it's something so many of you have been asking for. A revisit of my first project, the parasites. Please bear in mind that there is still some detailing work to do. I’ll be sharing more in the next few weeks, aiming for early to mid-January for preorder.

I thought I’d give you guys a quick update. I’m recovering very well, and while I'm still sore the plastics are incredibly happy with my recovery progress and I’m well enough to start printing again. Thank you for your kind words and patience, it truly means a lot.

As I’ve had a lot of time to do menial tasks, I had a sort out of my workspace and found 5 sets of joints for Charybdis, and I figured they might as well go to good use and my brother has volunteered to make 5 new Charybdis kits for you guys. Hi everyone!

First, I wanted to thank you guys for the overwhelming support and kindness you’ve given me in the past few days, it truly means a lot! The surgeon was very happy with how the operation went and recovery should be smooth enough. I have an appointment with the physiotherapist on October 1st (Though it might be earlier if they have an open slot) and they will give me a better idea of the timescale of my recovery and how long it will take for me to get back into production.

In other news, I have no plans on making more Charybdis but because of the demand, I have decided to make the files (with supports pre-generated) available for purchase for you to print yourself! It’s £25 (~35USD) to be paid via PayPal for the files to be used for strictly personal use only and you will have to supply your own joints (8mm revoltech joints and other similar joints are compatible). Hi everyone

I wanted to give you guys an update on the production of Tusk. On Monday I got into an accident that has greatly damaged my left hand and has temporarily left me without the use of that hand. Thankfully there is no tendon damage but there is some nerve damage, and I will be having reconstructive surgery tomorrow afternoon to hopefully fix that. Because of this, I am unable to work on these kits outside of printing the parts. My current recovery time is estimated to be 6 weeks, depending on how involved the surgery will end up being, once I know more, I will of course let you know.

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in me sending them a kit that needs more work, as in, prints need to be separated from their support materials, sanding, and assembly for a discount of 15USD? I will be making an assembly tutorial so you can understand how to assemble each part. This is currently the only alternative to delaying your kit by 6 weeks or more while I recover and go through physiotherapy.

I will be individually messaging everyone with a tusk order so there’s no need to reply here if you’re unsure or want more information. I understand that this is incredibly frustrating as I know how excited you all are you get your kits, but I hope you can understand that this situation and remain patient while I recover.

PC-005: Tusk

I am very excited to announce the next action figure model kit from Photon Collectibles, PC-005: Tusk. Tusk stands at approximately 13.6cm tall with 12 points of articulation. The kit comes with a pair of broken tusks that can be swapped with the regular tusks as well as a pair of open/attacking hands to swap with the knuckle walking hands. To aid in articulation, the kit comes with an action figure stand for more dynamic posing.
