Celje is the third-largest town in Slovenia, with 38,000 inhabitants 👥 The city has a very long and rich history. The first records date back to the Roman times when the moving army found a Celtic settlement here, which they named Celeia 🤓 Over time, the village became the center of cultural life in the Roman province of Noricum. Unfortunately, the invasion of the Huns put an end to its splendour. The first Slavs began to settle in the area in the 6th century 🏠 The counts of Celje have been very important for the entire country, the national flag has the three stars which was their symbol ⭐️

The gentle hills, covered with extensive vineyards, are a characteristic view of the Brda region 🍇 It is famous for its excellent local wines and small, quaint villages 🍷 The buildings and monuments are often made of stone. Influenced by the surrounding Italian culture, Brda borders the Julian Venezia region to the South and West 😊
