For all my Buckfast drinking friends....
This is apparantly a review from an American wine connoisseur about bucky ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Buckfast Tonic Wine (No Vintage)
Unscrewed the cap, took it off about 30 minutes before to bring in some air. Apparently made by monks in England. Decided to try while cooking dinner. Poured into a glass, first glance has a very inky almost brownish color that you see in older wines. Very syrupy, liquid clings to the side of the glass when swirled.
Stuck my nose in and was hit with som**hing Iโve never experienced before. Barnyardy funk (in a bad way) almost like a decomposing animal in a birdโs nest. A mix of flat Coca Cola and caramel with a whiff of metal.
On the palate, overwhelming sweetness and sugar. Cherry Cola mixed with Benadryl. Unlike anything Iโve tasted. Iโm not sure what this liquid is but it is not wine, Iโm actually not sure what it is but it tastes like som**hing a doctor would prescribe. A chemical concoction of the highest degree. Can only compare it to a Four Loko.
Managed to make it through a couple small glasses but not much more. Has absolutely ruined the evening drinking-wise for me as I tried to drink a nice Bordeaux after but the iron-like metallic sweet aftertaste I just couldnโt get out of my mouth even after a few glasses of water. I donโt drink a lot of coffee regularly so I also have mild heart palpitations from the caffeine after just drinking a bit of this and feel a slight migraine.
An ungodly concoction made by seemingly godly men. I believe the Vatican needs to send an exorcist over to Buckfast Abbey as the devilโs works are cleary present there. After tasting this โwine,โ the way I feel can only be described as akin to being under a bridge on oneโs knees orally pleasing a vagrant while simultaneously drinking liquified m**h through a dirty rag.
Iโve drank a lot of wines in my life and will never forget this one.

๐ Fauldhouse United Football Club - Team of The Month
โญ๏ธ Falkirk Football Club Vs Cove Rangers Football Club - Game of the Month.
Now that we have to our final game of the month we can do our January review.
Another great month and a fantastic start to 2024 for Reece and I. Got a few more new grounds visited and a few tours done too. Yet again lots more friends made all over the place. We have the YouTube channel up and running also now.
Team of the month we gave to Fauldhouse United due purely to the way we were treated when we visited Park View and the game got postponed when we attended but their hospitality was brilliant and we can't wait to go back and actually take a game in, which we are still looking at.
Our game of the month went to Falkirk's dismantling of Cove Rangers at the Falkirk stadium. This one was close between two matches but just for the way The Bairns swept their opposition to the side just edged it.
Stay tuned for a BIG February ๐ฅ
Feel free to share our page please and have a wee look at our YouTube channel.
Much love people and thanks for the support

East of Scotland match for us today as we headed to Midlothian to visit our 190th ground at Dalkeith v Tweedmouth Rangers. Still a wee bit windy out there but nothing major. There was a few signs of damage caused by the recent storms at Kings Park.
We arrived nice and early and I sampled the steak pies we have heard so much about and I can confirm they are really good ๐ Watching the teams warm up and one thing that was apparent was the pitch, not in great condition and the ball struggling to roll and bobbling about which means it was going to be hard to play football. Tweedmouth started the better of the two sides in a scrappy first half and took the lead on 44mns through argubaly their best player the number 10 who bundled the ball home from a cross. Dalkeith came out swinging for the 2nd half and in 52mns grabbed an eqilualiser through Kyle Brockie. With Tweedmouth on the ropes Dalkeith took the lead when Michael Lennie powered a header in at the back post. Both teams went at it in this scrappy affair but to be fair to them the pitch played a huge part in that. Dalkeith were certainly the better team in the second half and they keep the points in Midlothian.

Hoping for a decent gamw between two sides at opposite ends of the table but Tweedmouth did get the win last time the two met. Dalkeith will be looking to maintain some form by putting together 2 wins on the bounce but Tweedmouth are also un-defeated in the last 3. Best of luck to both sides.

Our first visit to Dundee tonight. A wee bit cold but at least the wind had calmed and rain stopped. On arrival we noticed a wall with lots of art related to Lochee United. Intrigued by a lot of it so if anyone can explain it all feel free.
Tough night for Forfar West End tonight and they couldn't have got off to a worse start, 2-0 down inside 10 mns. Missed the first by Bobby Linn but the 2nd was soft as Hay beat the keeper to a corner at the near post. It was just an onslaught from Lochee as they were simply too good for Forfar W.E. It was soon 3 as some nice work down the wing and a cut back left Hay with a tap in. Then it was soon 4 as McComiskie passed in his shot to the bottom corner from inside the box. Half time came and I think Forfar may have had the ball in Lochee's box once. The second half saw a much better performance from Forfar as they almost scored themselves and definitely contested the game more. However Lochee did get their 5th and it was that man Hay again as he bagged his hat-trick.
Good set up at Thomson Park, the covered stand behind the goal was a bit of a strange position but can see why it is the only covered area as the pitch and ground look like they have been dug out the side of a big hill and on one side of the pitch you have a high elevated embankment to provide a great a view.
Also great to get a chat with Danny who runs his own page on Instagram () and Norrie who gave us a wee interview for his vlog. Great to meet you guys properly ๐

Dalkeith on Saturday for this East of Scotland Football Association second division match. This will be our first visit to Kings Park and they tell me this is where we will find the best steak pies ๐คฃ
Dalkeith Thistle are 4th in the league at present with nine wins and seven losses from sixteen games, which means they have yet to draw a game. Tweedmouth Rangers on the other hand are 13th and are one place above the relegation zone with four wins, one draw and ten losses from fifteen. Going on that you would expect Dalkeith to keep the points in Midlothian but we know that isn't how football works and Tweedmouth actually beat Dalkeith 4-1 in the reverse fixture in November. Is there revenge or will Tweedmouth do the double??

The Serie A, officially known as Serie A TIM for sponsorship reasons is a professional league competition for football clubs located at the top of the Italian football league system and the winners are awarded the scudetto and the Coppa Campioni d'Italia. It has been operating as a round-robin tournament for over ninety years since the 1929โ30 season. It had been organized by the Direttorio Divisioni Superiori until 1943, the Lega Calcio until 2010 and the Lega Serie A ever since.
Serie A is regarded as one of the best football leagues in the world and it is often depicted as the most tactical and defensively sound national league. Serie A was the world's strongest national league in 2020 according to IFFHS and is ranked third among European leagues according to UEFA's league coefficient โ behind La Liga and the Premier League โ which is based on the performance of Italian clubs in the Champions League and the Europa League during the previous five years. Serie A led the UEFA ranking from 1986 to 1988 and from 1990 to 1999. The current holders of the Scudetto is Napoli but it is Juventus who hold the record for most league titles. Goalkeeping legend Gigi Buffon has the record for most appearances (657). Record goalscorer is Silvio Piola with 274 goals.
