In light of the tragic news that has rocked our SMBI community today, we have made the decision to postpone the upcoming Moonlight Movies event which was scheduled for August 12. Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this extremely sad incident.

We will be contacting everyone directly who booked tickets to the event, and we thank you for your understanding of the need to change our plans at this time of grief. Everyone will be informed via our page about a future new event date, once we have confirmed details.

Bringing the 🌙 moonlit 🎵 music to your LATE session on 12 August will be the bluesy-folk-rock tones of HC Berg. Playing a mix of originals and covers, your toes will be tapping as he kicks off the evening's entertainment.

New York native, and now Russell Island resident, HC Berg is a composer, lead guitarist and vocalist. Known to many as the frontman for Honeyman Hopkins and the Marooned Blues Band, he also plays with gypsy swing trio, the Transcendental Nomads. HC has shared the stage with such greats as Phil Emanuel, and most recently opened for Australian folk musician Darrell Hanlon. 🎙🎸

As I sit practicing for an upcoming gig, Honeyman Hopkins and the Marooned Blues Band at the Russell Island Bowls Club February 18th, I've come to the realization that the greatest thing any man has ever invented is the Fender Stratocaster! Thank you Leo🙏 I pray that the gods of rock-'n'-roll grant me the grace to play with the purity of heart and soul this majestic machine deserves!

Not the blues, but a new tune I wrote recently. With Erik on second lead guitar, bass , percussion and backup vocal, Rene' on piano. And backup vocal, and me on lead vocal and guitar and rhythm guitar the song was recorded on Xmas day.
