Happy Valentine's Day! We are celebrating with a true love story - Clarabelle and her tomatoes 😆😆 We wish you all a wonderful day and no matter what, the guinea pigs love you! Ok maybe that's not true....their love does diminish if you are running low on leafy greens 😆😆 They are pigs, after all!

Meet our cute little foster piggies! We picked them up from yesterday and they are still extremely shy. I will be trying Poppy as a nanny for them until they are adopted so we can help them become more confident 🩷Their mama and baby sister already found a forever home!

Meet Pebbles and Penelope of 🩷 These two cuties are part of a great kingdom of sassy ladies (and one neutered male they preside over 😂) living in the Bay Area and I was honored to turn them into cookies! Their pig mom won the custom piggy cookie prize at Marin and she cashed in her prize for Valentine's Day this year.

Great British Bake Off with - day 2, cakes! Poppy clearly thinks she is a winner and also started eating her creation before the judges could come round to her table 😅😅

Recipe is the same as Bambi's Baked Biscuits but 🤫 ...don't tell anyone! I pressed it into a circle cookie cutter to make a nice cake shape.

Recipe based on the Cookbook for Guinea Pigs by - I highly recommend the book!

I never met a guinea pig I didn't love, but some of them just wiggle their way a little deeper into your heart than others. Sweet Boo🌈 and his love for his brother Carmy🌈 did that to me. 

Bear and the Figgy Piggy Princesses send lots of love to Boo's family and his big BIG brother Yellow. I just know he is having wonderful adventures over the rainbow bridge.

Meet the latest batch of sweeties, Willow, Wilma and Winona! And happy birthday to their pig mom!

According to their family, Willow (tricolor) is snuggly and cute to humans but has a bad habit of.oickimg on the baby pig. I love sassy pigs 😅

Wilma (Winnie), the orange and white abby, is a food monster who is the sweetest pig - as long as you don't get between her and lettuce!

And last but certainly not least, agouti cutie Winona (Noni).
She is the loudest little drama queen and will yell at Willow when she is not even touching her.

Love this girl and her grumpy, beady little eyes. She is so petite and precious and not as grumpy as she often looks 😆

I had to wake up at 4:30 am today to catch a train for a work conference, and I get to do the same tomorrow. Ughhh. Seeing the sleepy piggies who were almost too tired to even beg for pellets before I left made me want to go back to bed even more 😅

But tomorrow our meeting ends in the afternoon and I can't wait to get cupcakes at Miette in the Ferry Building in San Francisco before catching the train home!

Big time tears when I opened a package from our dear friend who made angel wings for Flat Alleria 😭😭😭 My sweet angel baby is frolicking in fields of wheat grass and keeping watch over us.

I am so very grateful for the time we had together, but all the time in the world would never be enough for me and that grubby little floof.

Thank you so very much for such a thoughtful gift! I can't wait to take Flat Angel Alleria on adventures!

Change of plans - we get one more day with these handsome boys and their fuzzy sisters! One more night to kiss those perfect Bertie lips and hear the song of Chestnut's people 🤣🩷 They go home tomorrow 🩷

Bear wishes you a very snuggly and warm Sunday! Neither one of us is ready to get out of bed yet.

We have a couple of girls visiting us this week (and their 3 non-crested, but also cute, friends). The white lady is Strawberry Shortcake and the black and white girl is her daughter Petunia. They settled in much faster this time as it's their second stay at the Figgy Piggy Princess Bed & Breakfast and it's nice to see them again!

Especially because their pig mom is a beekeeper and brought fresh honey and a beeswax candle she made!

Is anyone else ready for warm sunny days again? Normally I love fall and don't mind winter but my poor little feet feel extra cold this year and while I appreciate the moisture we have gotten (and will continue to get!) I am tired of muddy dog paws messing up my beautiful clean floors 😅😅 I wish Poppy and I really could run away to Hawaii right about now!

Bambi is starting the year off with fresh fashions and a brave spirit! Wishing you, your fuzzies, and your loved ones a happy, healthy New Year! Be brave and do the thing!

Pig mom's resolution is to learn to say no and to rest 🤣 Wanda resolves to learn to use the new dog door. Winston resolves to bork at all the birbs, and the rest of the piggy crew I hope resolves to stay healthy and avoid surprise vet visits in 2024!

I know many of you are team but surprise! Bear and Poppy got hitched!

My sweet niece who is utterly obsessed with Poppy (and Alleria🌈) was so very sad that Bear's girlfriend went to heaven, that he was SO lonely and needed a new wife. So she has spent days talking about and planning Poppy & Bear's wedding 💍

We made Poppy a beautiful wedding dress out of tissue paper and ribbon, and we made 'earrings' out of a silver pipe cleaner. 4 year old niece got distracted and ran out of patience for all the 'tiny food' she had planned for the reception so we settled for the already cut up cucumber and pepper!

The littles also helped fashion a ring out of red pipe cleaner but my ring bearer nephew forgot to use the ring during our ceremony. So we settled on putting it on Poppy's chicken bum during floor time instead!

I wonder if would like to engage my niece and nephew to plan their wedding? I mean....it may not go off without a hitch and they may forget a few key details, but their services are free and they do love piggies! 🤣🤣

Meanwhile I am not so sure Poppy consented to this wedding. She is a strong, independent floof who doesn't really seem to care much about having the other piggies around and tends to avoid drama at all costs! At least she wasn't a bridezilla and was very happy with her simple gown and subpar food 🤣

Happy from the Queen of Sus who has made a triumphant return to being suspicious this week! Bambi is extremely suspicious about some weird guy coming down the chimney and getting anywhere near her veggies in the kitchen!

And the face of pure joy - my niece is ecstatic to have guinea pigs again and keeps exclaiming that they love her and she loves them. It's very sweet!

Poppy has some nice this morning! At least one of us is relaxed 😅 Maybe because she isn't the one who has to sweep up the constant hay glitter all over the floor!

Today someone asked me if I'm ready for Christmas... definitely not 😅 I'm not an actual Scrooge but I certainly look like one this year with zero Christmas decorations and none of the presents wrapped. I feel flustered more than anything. So this throwback picture of sweet visitor Boba is a pretty accurate representation of our household this year!

Poppy wishes you a magical Monday! Some of our friends are already off for the holidays and we are jealous 😅 A few more days to go for us but I am looking forward to eating all the Christmas treats soon!

Before we said goodbye to Bonnie, we took a few family pictures of the whole crew. Of course it was mostly chaos, but we got a few decent pictures. We miss her soft furry and ever-curious sniffer.
