I took a sip from my lemonade as I stared at Jesse, he is a very lovable person, he is someone I've always wanted and had anything to do with but as time passed by, I felt like being just friends was the best option.
"Wow, that was fast!" I heard him say, I blinked and saw him staring at my glass in surprise, I took a look at it, it was empty.
I chuckled "Would you believe it if I tell you I didn't know how that happened?"
He laughed.
"What can I say, Jeiel? I believe everything you say!" He smiled and I smiled back.
"Guess, we have to get you another one?" He turned and called to the waiter. "One more lemonade!" He said as he turned to look at me.
"You're beautiful" he said as he smiled.
"Thanks" I said as I bit my lower lip, he took his eyes down to my chest, I think my breasts were a little exposed.
I noticed, he knew I noticed.
"What're you looking at?" I asked, smiling slightly.
"Your... t**s?" He said as he laughed.
I laughed too.
The waiter strolled down and dropped the lemonade on the table.
"Thank you" he beamed a smile to the waiter who walked away.
"So... Wanna go somewhere private?" He asked me as I opened my mouth to speak.
"Uh..."
"Yes?" He cut in immediately.
I chuckled "Yes!" I said as I picked my drink and stood up, he held my hand and led me outside.

We sat down in front of the beach as we stared at the water, it was the most peaceful moment I've ever had.
We were still holding hands, he released my hand and place them on my laps.
"I love you!" He whispered.
"Huh?" I turned to him sharply pretending not to hear what he said.
"What? Um... I said, the water, it's soul soothing" he laughed.
"Yeah" I laughed too.
I looked down as he took a look at me.
"You heard me right?"
"Oh, you'd wish I didn't" I laughed again.
He laughed too "Look, I really really do but...!"
"You don't think dating is the thing, right?" I asked him.
"Yeah, how'd you know that?"
"Because I feel the same way too, like it'll be so weird if we date, don't you think so?" I smiled.
"Kinda!" He narrowed his eyes. "But wait, why?"
"I think, because we just wanna explore each other for as long as we're together?" I said as I leaned towards him.
He leaned forward too as we kissed.
He shoved his hand beneath my shirt and fondled my breast, I moaned, he was so good.
We stopped after a while.
"Yeah, you're right... It feels so good!"
"I know right?"
"Yeah!" I nodded and I laughed.
He joined me.
"Wanna go somewhere more private where we can finish this?" He winked at me as I bit my lips.
"At your place!" I said as I smiled.
He smiled too.

I walked in through the gate as Alloy waved me and smiled, I smiled back π
I moved straight to Ben's house as I held on to the nylon in my hand.
At least, that was what I could do since he was celebrating his 31st birthday.
I knocked on the door as I hid the nylon behind me.
I knocked again on seeing that no one responded.
The whole place was still quiet.
I turned the door k**b and entered.
The place was dark as well, I searched for the light switch with my hand as I switched them on.
"Surprise!!!" Everyone yelled happily.
I mean, everyone I didn't know was there.
I was shocked.
"What is going on?" I thought confused.
"Hey Dearie..." A woman walked up to me with a broad smile and embraced me, she kissed me on the forehead afterward.
"Come on, smile!" She said and walked out of the sitting room.
A song started playing from God knows where, I think there was a DJ.
I managed to smile.
What is the surprise for? And why is everyone celebrating me instead of the celebrant?
Just then, I saw Ben walking out of the room, he was wearing a suit, he beamed a smile at everyone as he entered, everyone screamed too.
He turned to look at me and he frowned.
"What? Jeiel!" He thundered as he stared at me for a while.
"Uh... Ben!" I stared at everyone confused.
"Ben, what's wrong with you? Isn't this supposed to be a proposal?"
"What?" I stammered as I stared at Ben confused.
"Yes!" Ben answered looking sternly at me. "But she isn't the one!" He said as everyone gasped.
And yeah, I gasped too.
I mean, it was fuc**** shocking!
"Ben, what do you mean, I'm not the one... What are you talking about?" I stammered.
"I'm sorry but this is not the time for this" He turned to the woman who had embraced me earlier. "Mom, how would you make such a mistake?"
Then, I realized the woman is his mother.
"A mistake? You told me she is short and pretty"
"And this is pretty?" Ben fired back.
Tears flowed from my eyes as I fell on my knees.
"Ben..." I tried to speak. "What is this all about?"
"Hey!" He pointed at me angrily. "You're not the woman of my dreams, you're not!" He glared at me as he turned around to back me.
I cried for a while and managed to stand up.
When I did, I took a look at everyone including Ben's mother who was almost crying, the place was quiet.
I turned to Ben who was now facing the wall.
"But you swore you love me" I stared at Ben, sadly as he laughed and turned back to me.
"Don't you get it? You are not my type! You are not just for me, you disgust me, I wish I never met you!" He turned to back me again. I just couldn't believe that I would be receiving this kind of backlash from the guy who had promised me the world when he first met me, Same world that seem to be crumbling right now.
"Ben, I remembered that night when you begged me to be your woman, the woman of your dreams, the person you wanted to spend your life with!" I cried as I spoke, I was no longer aware of the people present.
"Jeiel, I don't love you!" He counted. "Hope that's enough for you to understand... You know what? I'm going inside but before I get back, you shouldn't be here!" He said and stormed into his room.
I cried, my world has crumbled.
I wanted to fall to the ground when his mother caught me.
"No, Jeiel... It's fine! You'll be fine please don't do this okay?" She said as tears dropped out if her eyes.
I just couldn't take it anymore, I loosened her grips from me, I bent down, picked my nylon and turned to the door.
Just then, someone walked in.
"Baby!" She shouted as she walked in. "Oops!" She chuckled on seeing so many people. "What'd I miss?"
Everyone stared at her, she looked at me and walked past me.
"Why is everyone looking like this? Did someone die?" She asked as she walked towards Ben's mom.
"Oh mummy, are you okay? You look exactly as Ben had described you..."
I couldn't hear everything she said as I stumbled outside.
"Learn to define your relationship and know what you're going into" π

I took a deep breath, lifted my hands and started waving them along with the others.
"I'd never thought this could be possible" my lips moved.
"My life was a mischief until now" I thought as my eyes started getting teary. "Jesse made me realize that sometimes, we need to be pained in order to cure pain and this is it" I stared at Jesse who was standing firmly on the stage singing the song to perfection, he closed his eyes.
I loved Jesse so much but he didn't love me back in return.
Probably, because he was a popular singer or he didn't really feel anything for me, I have made my intentions known to him but he kept telling me off.
"This moment, it's the best I could ever have... I know, yes I do!" I closed my eyes too.
"Whatever Jesse was doing to me with his song is obviously positive, cause right now, I can feel the bitterness I've been experiencing, come out of me" I sighed and smiled "Today, I tried to be a better person by letting the pains outta me" I tried to continue smiling but I just couldn't, the tears that had gathered in my eyes were now hot and had begun to flow down my cheeks. "I'm sorry, guts!" I opened my eyes and dropped to the ground.
"Jeiel!" Sophia whispered loudly as she stared at me, wide eyed.
I covered my face with my hands as I cried out, I wasn't ashamed at that moment, I felt like it was the best option in crying out my pains at that point.
People had begun to gather around me.
They asked questions like "Is she okay?" "What's wrong with her?" "Who upset her?"
I stayed calm as my cries increased.
Suddenly, I saw a foot halt in front of me, I raised my head and I saw Jesse staring into my eyes, I was surprised.
He stretched out his hand to me, I hesitated and placed my hand in his.
He took me to the stage and looked at everyone, by this time, the music had stopped.
He smiled and turned to me.
"It's okay to cry but what do you need?"
I looked down as a tear dropped out of my eyes.
"A hug.." I muttered amidst my faint cry.
Before I could realize, he embraced me, everyone started clapping, some of them were in awe, especially the girls who had always crushed on Jesse.
I cried more.
He loosened his grips and stared at my lips, I blinked.
He leaned towards me for a kiss when I heard Sophia still talking.
"Jeiel, you're embarrassing yourself, why are you crying?" She asked as I looked around, I was still on the floor.
Then, I realized It was all fantasy.
I bent my head.
"Falling in love with someone who doesn't love you is very terrible" π₯π

My Dad called me useless π₯
Y'all know what useless means?
It is that moment when you're working earnestly to make them proud but your parents aren't seeing it π₯Ί
..
I stared at my laptop as I glanced through the online job offer on my homepage on Facebook, the headline reads: WORK FROM HOME AND EARN IN NAIRA, I got excited when I saw that you don't have to pay a dime to be involved in it.
I clicked the link and it took me to a website where I registered free without any money.
I was happy but at same time, having doubts, I mean... It's really hard to come across a job with sincere details.
I was also asked to go to their telegram channel, I did as they referred me to my manager, it was a woman!
She put me through and taught everything I needed to know.
In two weeks, I started earning money just by sending screenshots of payments from clients to the manager who in turn would send them to the company.
The money was added to my account but I decided not to withdraw yet.
I worked harder and doubled the time I spent on the job so as to make more money and yes, I made it.
In less than a month, I made 100k and I was damn happy π€ I felt like throwing myself up in the air, I also withdrew the money.
I made to the sitting room to meet my parents so I could tell them the great news πΆββοΈ
On getting there, everyone was there (my siblings).
I boldly walked into the sitting room and stood in front of my parents.
"Daddy, I have something I want to tell you" I chuckled.
My Dad stared into space and after some seconds of hesitation, he spoke up "What is it?"
I genuflected several times in a happy mood.
"Daddy, there's this online business that I am doing..."
"Have you ever done a business and prospered?" My mom attacked me.
"But Mummy..." I wanted to speak but my mom wouldn't let me.
"You keep doing different things up and down without earning a single dime and you have the guts to come here to tell us about one useless online bla bla bla, if you try this thing again ehn... I'll so deal with you, haven't you done enough?" She glared at me, eyed me and hissed.
I stood there with watery eyes, I stared at my mother as she turned away from me and settled her eyes on the TV.
I bowed my head as I sobbed.
I could still see my father as he still stared into space.
" Jeiel...! " He called as I raised my face to look at him.
" All my years on this earth, I have never believed that I would raise an unserious person as a child not to talk more of a daughter and one who is very smart... " He heaved a sigh and continued. " I always knew you to be very intelligent but useless? No!" These words forced the tears out of my eyes. I stared at my Dad, I couldn't believe what I heard, my sisters too. I saw them stare at my father in disbelief.
"You never got anything right, you've always been a disgrace to this family, made nothing out of nothing, please get out of here!" He roared as his words seem to push me backward, I staggered back to my room, I walked back out of shame, I cried profusely.
If I had been a disgrace to them, why did it take them so long to tell me about it.
I became useless since that day. I never taught I could do anything right anymore.
I stopped the business and went blank.
The truth is, the words of a parent can either build nor jeopardize a child's life.
" Parents, be careful of the words you use on your children, they can kill them slowly, forever"
