I’m so happy that fall is finally here. I am the biggest fall girlie. I love sweatshirt and shorts weather. The colors of the leaves changing in the Appalachian mountains are second to none. I will try anything pumpkin flavored at least once because I am a proud basic bitch. Not to mention that football season is the most wonderful time of the year (other than Christmas, obvi). Plus, my husband and I always wait until fall for our yearly beach vacation so that’s always a positive for team fall. I hope you have a wonderful day. It’s almost the weekend and I plan on making a pumpkin chili 😉

Boyfriend Material by Ilsa Madden-Mills As always, Ilsa delivers with Eric and Julia’s story. It’s enemies to lovers, second chance vibes had me absolutely flying through this book. It is angsty, dark and a little sad, but a very fast paced romance. Julia and Eric had a hot and heavy fling in high school and she thought he would be different, but Eric takes her virginity and completely ghosts her. When they end up at the same college Julia does her best to avoid him, not just because she hates him, but because she has bigger issues. She’s living in a not so great place, she owes so much money and she’s dealing with her mothers addiction and homelessness. Eric comes off as the rich funny golden boy, but he’s dealing with his own problems, mainly pressure from his dad and the expectation to be more like his dead brother. Inevitably their paths cross one night when Julia is trying to pay off some money to a dangerous man, but she doesn’t have enough and Eric charges in saving the day, but she is determined to pay him back. She used to think Eric was the stuff perfect boyfriends were made of, but she wont be fooled again. 🆀🅾🆃🅳 ➝ ᴡʜᴇʀᴇ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛʏᴘɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ ɢᴇᴛ ʏᴏᴜʀ ʙᴏᴏᴋs ғʀᴏᴍ? ⑊ 🥂

The Lie by Karla Sorensen There’s not much I love more than a romance book with messages between main characters à la You’ve Got Mail so I was instantly hooked on Faith and Dominic’s story. Dominic is new to the Washington Wolves with a bad attitude and a reputation in tow. Faith’s mother Allie, the team owner, gives her the job of babysitting Dominic while he gets his act, both publicly and privately, together. Dominic is full of anger and grief and is honestly kind of mean in the begging. He’s obsessed with Faith, but in a sweet way that grows on you as the characters grow. Faith is so good. She’s genuine, sweet, understanding. Fragile but tough. The tension between these two sizzles right off the pages. There are secrets that make you want to scream, swoony romantic dates, along with the perfect amount of angst and drama and groveling. Karla and her Washington Wolves never disappoint.
