Leo's Creation Station
A place to share and sell my creations, bakes and makes.
Doesn't Toby look smart in his new bow ties? I think he may have been telling his big sister off for stealing one though. βΊοΈ
I've been very quiet this month, but behind the scenes I've been a busy bee making 35 baby shark fins for Francesca Jandrell Dance Company baby/toddler group. I lost count of how many times I sang "baby shark do do do-do doo" in my head while making them π€£π¦
A first for me - today I reupholstered an old faded chair to give it a fresh new lease of life. (Excuse the before photo, I forgot to take a proper one π€£)
Forgot to buy profiteroles and couldn't bare the thought of going back to a chaotic supermarket just for one item - So I made my own. Pretty impressed even if I do say so myself ππ
That's a wrap for 2023! All my makes have officially been finished off and my creation station is clean and tidy ready for a little break.
Thanks for all the support in my new sewing venture this year. πͺ‘π§΅
Can't wait to see what 2024 brings.
Time for a Baileys methinks. βΊοΈ
A lot of what I've made lately can't be shared until after Santa has been - but this is labelled'To me, From me.' π
Looks like Toby is getting into the spirit of Christmas showing off his new festive bandana. πΆHe's just too cute. π₯Ί
Millie asked for a reindeer hairdo this week for her school Christmas lunch. π¦ The reference picture she showed me used brown pipe cleaners for antlers but we didn't have any. So I whipped up this little scrunchie with antlers attached. βΊοΈ I have one happy girlie going off to school this morning. π
Carpal tunnel syndrome has decided to re-appear with a vengeance after not having any major issues in around 10 years. I'm guessing the constant use of scissors and recent macrame obsession may have something to do with it π
Does anyone happen to have any good tips on how to relieve the constant pins and needles?
New fabric due in soon. Can't wait to show you what I make with it. π€
Yesterday I posted about the costs of a macrame wall hanger I made, this morning this came up on my feed. It seemed so apt, so I stole it π€
For my birthday this year (July) a lovely friend made me a macrame plant hanger. I looooved it and wanted more but didn't have a clue how to do it. Roll on mid Nov and I finally got round to buying a set that included instructions - I have since made 3 plant hangers. How many plants is too many to be hung around the house??
This week I decided to give something different a try, and this beauty was born. It's by no means perfect but I love it!
Unfortunately (even if I were to practice loads and perfect them) I wouldn't be able to sell them as it cost around Β£6 for the materials, plus labour on top would be Β£10/hr (not even minimum wage) x 12 hours = Β£126. π±π±
I can finally share one of my favourite commissions! The brief was a 'beach/surfy' gift for a new baby. I'm totally in love with the fabric prints.
These poo bag pouches have been one of my favourite little projects lately. Shame I don't have a dog πΆπ€£
I always try to gift hand made items - I get so much more pleasure from gifting something I have made over something shop bought. Here's a little card purse I made for my mums birthday. π
Ffion looks so pleased with her poo bag and treat pouch. Enjoy your walkies πΆπ
How adorable is Honey in her new bandanas?? So much floof! πΆ
I've gonk a bit crazy with these little fellas. π π»
This might be me π€£π€£
True story! π€
Todays make. π§Ά
Now the question is, do I make up a range of different colours to sell at craft fayres? π€π€
Meet Toby, the cutest little ambassador ever!!!
I'm at Dinas Powys Library & Activity Centre today from 1-4pm. Come say hi and get some Christmas stocking fillers. π
A couple of this weeks makes. βΊοΈ
Is it acceptable to have door stops for every door in the house? Asking for a friend π€
π£*Important announcement* π£
I simply couldn't choose between all of your beautiful pups so had to get my 10 year old daughter to make the decision. We narrowed it down to 3 and decided that all 3 should win something.
3rd prize can choose either a doggie bow, bandana or poo bag pouch, 2nd prize can choose 2 items from above and 1st is our ambassador who will receive regular makes to try out.
Huge thanks to everyone that entered.
Please could the winning owners get in touch with me. X
