THANK YOU CHURCH - I snapped this picture last week of Anthony Jandl (I think 🙂) filling up the Propane Tank at the Parsonage. I appreciate it, Sheepies 🐑. I appreciate having a safe, warm place to stay and work especially in the Winter. I'm hunkered in preparing for Christmas and New Year's Worship.

A Couple Things That Got Left Out Of The Newsletter:

THE CHURCH CHRISTMAS TREE: The Virginia Yearous Family has purchased a new Christmas Tree for our Sanctuary in memory of Delmar Yearous. Delmar has been in Heaven for 20 years now. I (PL) never got the chance to know him. The lighted lantern on the piano was also purchased (created by Penni) in memory of Delmar, John Yearous, and Cody Bundy. Thank You! You might not know, but the Yearous Family also purchased the Nativity Set on the Altar. I can’t wait for the JAM Kids to see it! They LOVE it!
THE PEWTER NATIVITY SET DOWNSTAIRS: Was a gift from Doug and Delores Swan’s Daughter and Son-in-law (Krista and Eric). Eric’s Mom recently died and they are cleaning out the house. They asked if we would use this. Thank You! Again, I can’t wait for the JAM Kids to see it!
THANK YOU: Thank you to all the Church Elves who have decorated. To Dave Kaup for painting downstairs. Thanks for “all hands on deck” help with the Funeral for Dennis Mitchell. Thank you! From Pastor Lori.

Preparing For Summer Social Today. We had Coffee at Community Center ahead of the meal. Verlane Ross saw a need of sweeping leaves off the front steps and served. Grandpa Tabor was all smiles with three Grandsons in Worship today. Thank you to Nancy Iversen for all the work preparing for our fundraiser, all who helped and donated food, and all who joined us! A beautiful day! ❤

We've had a few folks test Positive for COVID-19 this past week - including me (Pastor Lori). I started getting a headache later Tuesday Evening and tested positive Wednesday morning. I'm feeling better, but not "preaching material" yet. Sue has graciously agreed to lead you tomorrow, just back from vacation.
If you're having cold like symptoms, you should test. I was scheduled for a work trip, so glad I tested prior ... and I really felt aweful for a few days. All to say .... just be cautious if you have health concerns. *I'm on the mend.

Senior Recognition at Worship Today! Congratulations and God's Blessings all around. Thank you to Pam Ray for making their blankets. Grandpa Bruce Schelhaas is representing his two Grandaughters.

UM General Conference again postponed until 2024, and will no longer be hosted in Minnesota. Sigh.

General Conference further postponed to 2024 The 2020 General Conference will be further postponed to 2024 due to COVID-related and governmental policies/constraints.

Thank You, Balaton UMC for filling the propane tank at the Parsonage. Nice to have a warm place to work and "land". And, I think that's Anthony Jandl doing the filling! ❤
