Romangola - a generous amount of proscuitto and rocket & drizzled with olive oil

We also order all three dips for our crusts, which include ‘nduja aioli, chilli honey, and garlic aioli which is some of the best dips we've had 😍

Pan-fried scallops, black pudding, pea puree and crispy pancetta - The “nutty” black pudding provided a perfect contrast to the creamy scallops, and pancetta provided a touch of crispy saltiness.

Mains-
Roast turkey, pigs in blankets, walnut and cranberry stuffing, giant Yorkshire pudding, served with all the trimmings – well definitely better than my Ma’s – Sorry Jackie 😉

Steak Au Poivre - peppercorn crusted rib-eye steak, roasted garlic and rosemary red potatoes, grilled asparagus, pink peppercorn butter- Steak was cooked perfectly, and with the peppercorn crust it was bursting with flavour!

Dessert-
Chocolate and orange brownie and candied citrus – This was amazing! Brownie has an incredibly fudgy texture and decadent taste.

We were invited along to to try out some of their new winter menu dishes and cocktails.

To start we tried Winter Pear Salad, Liver, Scotch Eggs, Tiger Prawns in sauce on sourdough, Wild mushrooms & oxtail soup.
My favourites were the Prawns and the Wild Mushrooms

For mains we got to try the Pan Seared Hake, Pork Belly, Venison Loin, Salmon and the vegetarian Beetroot Risotto. All were delicious, so tasty and full of flavour! There wasn’t a dish that I was disappointed! all lush! however my favourite was definitely the Venison 😋.

Dessert we had Sticky Toffee Pudding, Brownie, Clementine Whisky Dessert, Panna Cotta and a selection of ice creams.

You can get 2 courses for £28, or three courses for £32.

We were invited along to the brand new refurbished ,That has recently reopened after a multi million pound refurbishment.

Overlooking Long Sands Beach, it is perfectly situated for a seaside stay.

The hotel has over 72 bedrooms, with a mix of single, double, and family rooms as well as a selection of suites.

We ate at their on-site cosy restaurant pub, which has stunning décor!

Gambas Pil Pil - Grilled king prawn in garlic and chilli butter served with crusty bread.
Dough Balls Fresh - Stuffed with Mozzarella
Toad in the Hole - Sausages baked in Yorkshire pudding, served with creamy mashed potato and Guinness onion gravy.
Pie of the Week – Which was Steak & Ale served with seasonal vegetables and a choice of thick-cut chips or mashed potato.

And on a snowy day we went for some proper home comfort winter dinners, which were lush.

Fish Pakora – Marinated in a light Amritsari spices, coated with batter and deep fried.

Bengal King Prawns - A hearty king prawn curry simmered in an aromatic five spice mixture, the prawns were HUGE 🍤
& Craig opted for the 90’s lamb garlic chilli Balti – redefining the classic Balti dish, Lamb roasted in garlic and chilli cooked with onions and peppers in an authentic medium hot sauce 🌶️
