Growing up, if there is one thing I have learned to be meticulous about, then, it is FAMILIARITY.

I have learned that familiarity can uplift me and at the same time downplay me. It all depends on how I use it.

"Know that this world is moving from WHAT YOU KNOW TO WHO YOU KNOW. And who you know is the person close to you".

What is familiarity?
Familiarity, according to the English Dictionary, is the state of being extremely friendly, being close, or having habitual acquaintance with someone or something.

You have some people that are close to you and those you are close to. They include your husband, wife, managers, teachers, and co-workers to mention but a few.

Your closeness with them can be advantageous or detrimental to your progress in life.

To taste the sweet or bitter side of familiarity depends on how you handle it once you have it with people.

For some people, familiarity with their managers has given them promotions while others have lost their position because of it.

Someone has landed on a traveling opportunity because of closeness with a friend while someone has missed this opportunity.

Many men and women have missed good relationships because of familiarity. Others are enjoying their marriages because they learned to handle their familiarity with their partners.

Through familiarity, someone has gotten a job while the other has lost it.

Familiarity has gained someone admission into a secondary or tertiary institution. It has made someone win a scholarship to study abroad.

Familiarity has put a roof on the head of the homeless. This same tool has denied somebody a home, a scholarship, and admission.

Like the coin, I want you to know that familiarity has two sides; the one that will progress you and the other that will stagnate or retrogress you.

Which side of it do you want?
If it's the former, learn not to take advantage of people's closeness to you. Learn not to take their leniency to be their weakness.
Learn not to miss the little things that make a difference.

Because you are familiar with your boss doesn't mean you have to be late for work or behave anyhow at work.

Because you are close to a friend who gives you what you asked for doesn't mean you should abuse his or her support.

Familiarity! Familiarity! Familiarity!

Familiarity is so a powerful tool. Handle it with care.

In case you have forgotten, know that this world is moving from what you know to who you know. And who you know is the person close to you.

Let's be careful not to abuse FAMILIARITY. Treat people close to you with care. Your greatness may be implanted in them.

The biggest issue isn't the lack of love but is our wrong motive when it comes to relationships.
I don't know if it's lack of jobs or it's poverty but nowadays a lot of people date for help not for love.
I know money is important in a relationship but it must not be the primary reason why you are dating. If you can't date him because he is broke while you are also broke is a problem _ it's obvious that you are looking for a provider not a partner.
Most men who have financial muscles are in a better position to date any girl and it's easy for them to treat women as trash because they knows they can get any girl anytime.
I have noticed that most men who are have financial muscles yet immature treat women so bad just like a beautiful girl who thinks is too pretty to date a broke guy.
Our obsession for a public soft life has ruined our lovelife. We want an Instagram relationship. We want fancy dates, fancy clothes etc.
An 18 year girl want a guy who is driving. Life now is about what you have. Is not that they have their type, they are hungry and want guys who will sponsor their fake fancy lifestyle.
The very same dude who will leave them as single mothers. My advice is, fall in love with the character and his personality not what he wear or drive.

Don't make demands, act right. It's your behavior that will put you in his budget.
