The 9’ 5wt is perhaps the most versatile fly rod weight out there. You can fight the wind with it, cast large flies with it, but it still makes a small fish feel fun and lets you fish delicate dry flies well. What’s your favorite rod weight for trout?

Our new blanks feature an unsanded finish. The ridges on the rod are remnants of the blank rolling process and the way the graphite is tied together. It doesn’t affect the action or feel at all, and gives more durability and strength to the rod. Plus, we really like the unsanded look and feel!
