Cote Kennedy; “Cote was a rescue from Louisiana back in November 2010. We had lots of healthy years of walking, barking at UPS trucks and looking for treats. He didn’t like small children right from the start and I just had to deal with that till a certain young little girl had the desire and patience to change all of that fear. I haven’t broken the news to Charley yet. He was happy and very loved.” ~Laura Kennedy

Rex Doane; “Rex (AKA Rexy, Rue, Mr. Roy) was a beloved family member who will be forever loved and missed. We will remember Rex for his puppy like energy, Pepe Le Pew hunting style, occasional bursts of affection, love of morning breath and adorable curls and eyes. He joins Sally in our hearts.” ~Doane/Battersby Family

Rocky (Rockstar, Big Guy) Poole 02/24/10-07/13/24: “The 100lb lap dog that was returned to the shelter 3 times and arrived in Maine to his forever home and saved us all, made us all laugh and gave us all the best memories! Blind from day one, it didn’t keep him from doing whatever he wanted. He was a professional counter surfer, and could hoover any item he found within seconds, from full loaves of French bread, with wrapper, to entire chickens, bones and all! Lost on a Mountain in Maine for 3 days, “lovin” on any person he found necessary to love, sorry Bert, chasing & retrieving all his tennis balls and swimming and retrieving sticks in the lake. A book could be written about the adventures had with you my friend, like the day you fell in the well or the day you decided you no longer wanted to stay in the back seat of the car, and stealing the cookies. We will miss you and never forget you and all the good times and smiles you gave us. Thank you, Rockstar, you are my heart. I hope you have ALL the tennis balls!” ~Cindy Poole

Waldo Woodrow Wilson Rowland 04/07 - 06/24; “Wally was a sweet and loving “big man”. He loved people especially children and had to examine every baby carriage he ever encountered. From his early days of romping Mt. Waldo, juking and jiving and flying like the wind, to his later strolling “sniffari’s” through the neighborhood he loved being with his pack, of which he always thought himself the leader. He was the last of the Waldo Mountain Pack Walkers, and he loved being on the mountain with all his friends especially Liberty and Moxie. He was a member of a special vocal trio with his brothers Duke and Jake, and they serenaded us every morning. He loved to have visitors come to his home and to go for long rides. Wally enjoyed our summer vacations on Squirrel Island with lots of family (mostly children) where we could walk and walk. Waldo passed at home surrounded by his sisters Wanda, CC and Lois and his brother Clark. He is sorely missed by us all. He will be always in our memories and forever in our hearts. Have fun Wally chasing rabbits on your mountain over the rainbow bridge, give our love to everyone and stay away from those prickly critters. We are so very grateful for the love and care Wally received from his friends at Village Veterinary Clinic and the At Peace Vet. It is truly a blessing to have your beloved pet pass with such peace and dignity at home surrounded by everyone who loved him. We miss you big man!” ~Patrick & Valerie Rowland

Hailee Rolon 1/2008 - 7/23/24; “Hailee was our beloved family pet for 16.5 years. When outdoors, her beagle instincts were all encompassing. She was best known for her signature pig sounds as she sniffed everything in her path, her beagle howl when she caught a scent, her endless energy and determination to catch the ever elusive squirrel. She was a skilled escape artist even being delivered back home in a police car on occassion.

When indoors, her loyalty as a true companion could really shine. She loved “her boys” and helped to usher all 3 of them into adulthood. As they each graduated, went to college, and moved out of the family home she remained ready to welcome them back with tail wags whenever they came to visit.

Even as age added more white to her normally tan fur, limited her mobility, and took her ability to hear our voices, her sweet disposition (and love of treats) persisted up until her peaceful passing.

We will miss you “bean”.” ~Rolon Family

Bella (Lou Lou) Durrance 12/2011 - 6/17/24; “She was the very best girl, and all 13 years of her life provided unconditional love to our family. She loved nothing more than to play an unrelenting game of fetch. She also loved to swim. If she saw a body of water, there was no keeping her out of it, even in the dead of winter. Thank you for giving us
13 wonderful years. Our best girl ❤️” ~ Jason, Iesha, Jaxon, and Landon

Hagrid 11/13/15 - 7/13/24; “We had to say goodbye to our OG baby and favorite adventure pal yesterday. Our sweet Haggy Boo. Eight years were way too short, but you were a trooper through all of our life transitions. From being the best man at our wedding, moving across country with us (twice), seeing our first two children born and everything in between. You are already deeply missed. We love you so much Wiggity Wags. ❤️❤️❤️” ~Cat, Brian, and Family

Emma Anderson; “Emma the puggle arrived on my porch on the Solstice, June 21, 2014. She was skinny and covered with ticks. I took her to my vet right away. She was not chipped. I called all the places I could think of to see if anyone was missing this sweet dog. No one came forward. Emma became a member of the family along with a couple of kitties. She passed July 10, 2024. Dr. Jesse gave her the most peaceful last moments anyone could hope for.” ~Diana Anderson

Moxie Roberts 10/2/11 - 7/5/24; “ Moxie Moo, our little bear cub, was a constant joy in our family for over 12 years. She was incredibly active and enjoyed hiking, swimming, and playing fetch with her toy mice. She was a sports aficionado who enjoyed playing pool, soccer, basketball, and most of all playing hockey with her boys. When she eventually took a break, she could be found with all four paws in the air, completely at ease. She was smart, loyal, and touched each of our lives in unique ways. You will be missed sweet girl.”

Satchel Boyd; “My sweet boy Satchel was with our family for almost 16 years (born July 2008 and initially not totally pure white - his first 12 week first hiding in the sofa), and my personal faithful roommate for nine years. He was a rescue from the NHSPCA in Stratham. His love for eating plastic bags or any inedible objects that made a crinkling sound (loved scotch tape) were always challenging. He suddenly became very verbal after losing his companion cat three years ago, and seemed to find a need to talk often in the middle of the night. Satchel will be remembered as a much loved family member who brought lots of joy and laughter to our family and friends. His wonderful soul left us on June 30, 2024, but he will forever be remembered as one of our most cherished furry family members.” ~Sally Boyd

Koira Anctil 9/17/09 - 6/29/24; “Koira was a beloved part of our family for almost 15 years. She loved swimming, running, playing in the snow, chewing sticks, and digging for rocks in the water. A true lab, she loved any and all treats, especially doggie ice cream. She made every day better, and we will forever miss her.” ~Matt & Melanie Anctil

Stella Louise Sparklebutt Faherty 5/2010 - 6/2024; “Stella Louise Sparklebutt tenaciously hung on for 14 years. That’s an epic run for a Jack Russell terrier who loved to hunt. We chased this dog through the woods in Maine, and Massachusetts, and back to Maine. She survived a coyote attack and several catatonic states following her penchant for toad licking. Stella successfully represented her breed but ruined the lives of countless chipmunks, mice, moles, one opossum, and, despite her aging body, finally caught a darn squirrel two years ago. She has annihilated snakes, treed raccoons, endured countless cats, and two Frenchie puppies.

Most of all, Stella was the family dog. She was a baby with ours and ushered our children from toddlerhood to young adults. She has been with us through moves, vacations, ski houses, long hikes, and was always up for a road trip or ready to enjoy a snuggle and a good nap.

Stella Louise Sparklebutt, Queen of Doggies, lover of biscuits.” ~Faherty Family

Moski Parsons 10/23/09 - 05/28/24; “Moski was always up for an adventure! He was a true husky, curious and stubborn, sometimes to a fault. He loved to “talk” especially when he felt it was time for me to feed him! Until recently, he could be found curled up on the couch or on my bed. He was the best boy and we are heartbroken without him. RIP my sweet, Moskiki.“ ~Parsons Family

Howard The Dog 10/15/2009 - 5/26/2024; “To our sweet and gentle best friend for the last 15 years. From that very first day we adopted you at the Animal Welfare Society to the very end you continually taught us what unconditional love and loyalty were and made us better people. You started every day with that big smile and brought so much joy to our family, and every one of the thousands of hikes and walks we did were special.

We love you and miss you very much.” ~Chris Karcher & Lisa Jefferson

Neo Chamallas; “Born in June of 2006 and almost made it to the ripe old age of 18.
A quiet soul loved sleeping in the sun and eating! He was found in a trailer park with his siblings and I think that is why he was so food centric. He was the smallest of the litter but once we got him home he hollered for food every 6 hours, around the clock. Once he ballooned to 18 pounds the vet told us to cut him back. He liked to sit on us when we watched TV and routinely slept with us until he was too weak to hop up on the bed.” ~Pam & Stan Chamallas

Sunshine Boulden 6/2004 - 5/9/2024; “I found Sunshine in an alley in NC in October of 2024 before my first child was born. She was with us for almost 20 years. She was shy but loving and sweet to those she trusted. She never wanted to be picked up or held but laid on my belly when I slept. She will be missed and we hope to see her again one day across the Rainbow Bridge.” ~Danielle Boulden

Samantha Smith; “Samantha was adopted from a breeder in Maine in 2007. We chose her from the litter because she was sweet and affectionate in her demeanor and remained true to that her whole life. She had a companion in our dog Tyler ,a yellow Lab, and she missed him terribly after he passed in 2012.
Sam was free to roam our 40 acres in Strafford although as such a lover of companionship, she rarely ventured out without one of us. She loved people and other dogs and eagerly wanted their attention at every chance.
She made it through 5 moves in 4 years with no complaint and kept up her long daily walks until quite recently. She loved popcorn and rides in the car. We will miss her.” ~Mary & Steve Smith

Unwavering support, Never-ending cuteness.

Lifelong friendship, Cuddles on-demand,
The sweetest sound of a purr, The sweetest touch of fur.

Deep Green Eyes, And playful paws,
Fuzzy little ears, The white crest above your nose.

Charming all humans, And loving all your brothers.

Robbie, you gave me so much; I cannot put into words how much you mean.
Thank you my beautiful, sweet boy. Now, go, get some rest.

My heart will carry you with me forever, Until we meet on the Rainbow Bridge.
Love you and miss you.” ~Chris Karcher & Lisa Jefferson

Toby Leavitt 1/2003 - 3/27/24; “Toby was born in late January 2003 in foster care through Merrimack River Feline Rescue. Her mom was on her own at Revere Beach where a caring couple was feeding her. When they realized she was pregnant, they trapped her and took her to MRFR. She probably wouldn’t have survived birth in January there. I adopted Toby and her sister Shy in April 2003.” ~Jan Leavitt

Abby Scarponi 03/04/06 - 03/03/24; “It’ been just over a week since our precious Abby crossed over the Rainbow Bridge, one day before her 18th birthday. She came into our lives at 10 weeks old, and we fell in love instantly. Our baby was the sweetest, most gentle pup that you could imagine. She took her last breath, at home, in my arms peacefully, surrounded by family and friends. I miss you dearly, and miss our daily routines; from bringing you out first thing in the morning, until tucking you into bed with me at night. Thank you to Dr. Jesse Therrien for helping us say goodbye to our little sweetheart. I’m sure you are running and playing with your fur sister, Ruby who passed 2 years and 4 months ago, who we miss every day. And your fur friends: half sister Taya, Tanner, and Clapton. Fly high my little angel. You will always be in our hearts and in our thoughts every day.” With love forever,

Luke Gregg 1/19/15 - 2/28/24; “Luke loved life, all creatures; two legged and four, mud puddles, snow, and of course food. He was incredibly handsome and knew it, but also knew his job title was “The Most Unofficial Support Dog Ever.” Thank you for making our lives better; you are missed and loved but we know you’re being celebrated in heaven for the amazing dog you are. You are forever with me and in my heart ❤️, Mom.”

Cadbury Millett 5/21/07 - 2/17/24; “Her breeder named her Cadbury Nougat, but I just called her Caddybear.

Cadbury was the most faithful dog I have ever had, always by my side. She was the alpha dog of all the pets in our family, keeping them all in line, even her big brother who was twice the size of her. She was a very loving girl and the best companion for me, especially after I lost my husband. I am going to miss her more than words can express, but I know she is no longer in pain. I am very thankful I had so many good years with her.” ~Cynthia Millett
