Fast-Acting Cold Remedy Juice Drink Ingredients
- 1 tsp Honey
- 2 Ice cubes
- 1/2 chilled Lemon, half
- 1 chilled Lime, cut in half
- 5 pieces Mint leaves, washed and chopped
- 1 Dash of salt
- 1/3 cup Soda water up to the tip of the glass
- 5 chilled Tangerine, cut in halves
Preparation
Juice the fruits.
Put the mixture in a clean, clear glass.Sweeten the concoction with honey.Put a dash of salt.
Add mints.Put ice.
Add soda water up to the tip of your glass.Enjoy while its cold.
Milky Watermelon Drink Ingredients
- 2 pieces of dates (remove the seeds)
- 7 tablespoons of evaporated milk
- 1/4 teaspoon of grated ginger
- 1/4 cup of crushed ice.
- 1 cup of blended watermelon
Preparation

Ginger-Baked Pears Ingredients
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 vanilla bean split
- 1 tablespoon very finely-minced ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 3 large pears halved, cored
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the wine, sugar, vanilla, ginger, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
Place the pears cut-side down in a baking pan.
Pour the wine mixture over the pears.
Cover and bake until the pears are soft, about 25 to 30 minutes.
Serve pears with juice on top.
This recipe yields 6 servings.
Serving size: 1/2 large pear.

Baked Eggs With Asparagus and Sun Dried Tomatoes Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 2 large egg whites
- 2 tablespoons sun dried tomato, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons onion , finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon thyme, minced
- 1/2 cup quark (a creamy cheese that can be found in your grocery dairy section)
- 2 tablespoons parmesan cheese , shredded
- 8 smalls spinach or asparagus
Preparation
Preheat oven to 37
Steam asparagus until tender.
Whip eggs with quark, thyme and salt and pepper to your taste.
Heat non-stick skillet over medium heat and spray with cooking spray.
Saute onion and tomato for 4 minutes until onion is translucent.
Spray small baking dish with cooking spray and add onion and tomato.
Add eggs. Top with spinach or asparagus and parmesan cheese.
Bake for 10 - 15 minutes until egg is set.

Veggie Meatloaf Ingredients
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 pounds ground chuck
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup cream
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon teaspoon dried thyme, or 1 fresh, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded carrots or yellow squash or zucchini, or a comb
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 F.
Melt the butter in a small skillet over medium-low heat; add the onions and cook, stirring frequently, until they are soft and translucent but not brown, about 7 8 minutes.
Add the garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for another minute or two.
Remove from heat and set aside.
Place the remaining ingredients to a large mixing bowl; add the onion/garlic mixture. Gently but thoroughly mix with your hands, then transfer to an 8x8 baking dish and form into a loaf shape.
Bake for 1 hour, then test to see if the center is done. If it is still pink, cover with foil and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes. Allow the meatloaf to rest for about 5 minutes before serving.
Detox Orange Carrot Juice Ingredients
- 6 carrots
- 4 oranges
- 2 inch fresh ginger (use less if you want a more subtle ginger flavor)
- 1 tsp of ground turmeric (or 2 inches of fresh turmeric)
- Honey, to taste
Preparation
Juice carrots, oranges, and ginger in your juicer as well as turmeric if using fresh.
Stir in ground turmeric and honey.
Divide between two medium glasses or one large glass.
Enjoy immediately.

Almond Tea Cookies Ingredients
- 1 cup Almond paste
- Ground cinnamon, to taste
- 1 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 2/3 cups Unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 cup Butter or margarine, unsalted
Preparation
Cream the butter thoroughly in a large bowl, then add the almond paste and incorporate well. Stir the salt into the flour and add gradually to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.Chill the dough until firm, at least 3 hours or overnight.Preheat the oven to 325 .
Cut of thin slices of the dough, and, using your hands, roll out on a floured surface into rolls about the size and thickness of a pencil.
Bake on an ungreased baking sheet for 15 minutes.
Let cool slightly before removing from the baking sheet, then remove while still warm and carefully roll in the mixture of powdered sugar and cinnamon. (These cookies break easily, especially if removed from the pan too soon.) Cool on a wire rack and store in an airtight tin.

Lemon Pudding Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 cup flour
- 2 pkts instant lemon pudding
- 1 stk margarine
- 3 cups milk
- cup pecans, chopped fine
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup whipped topping
Preparation
Mix the flour, pecans and margarine, press into a greased pan.
Bake for 15 minutes at 375 degrees.
Mix the cream cheese, powdered sugar and whipped topping and pour over cooled flour mixture, chill.
Mix the pudding and milk. Whip till thick and pour on top of cream cheese. Top with whipped cream if you wish.
Honey Crescents Ingredients
- 1 sachet dry yeast (7 gr)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 250 mls lukewarm milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 550 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 egg for brushing
Preparation
In a bowl cream the yeast with 1/4 cup milk.
Let stand about 10 minutes.
The rest of the milk mix it with the melted butter and honey.
Mix the flour with salt and make a well.
Add the yeast mixture.
Gradually add the milk-butter mixture to make a soft dough, kneading for 3-5 minutes.
Put the dough in a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and let it double in size, about 45 minutes.
When the dough doubled, place if on the working table and flattened it.
Cut it in (almost equal) 12 - 16 triangles.
Roll them and place on 2 baking sheets. Leave another 5 - 10 minutes at room temperature.
Brush them with the lightly beaten egg.
Bake them in preheated oven at 350 F for 15 minutes.
Skinny Chicken Peanut Stew Ingredients
- 1/2 lb. fresh baby spinach leaves, rinsed and chopped
- 2 tsp. brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. Chili Powder
- 2 c. fat free chicken broth
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 Tbsp. ginger root, minced
- 2 Tbsp. Grapeseed Oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 large orange pepper, sliced thin and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 4 Tbsp. peanut butter
- 3 plum tomatoes, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. Sesame Oil
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast, thinly sliced in bite-sized pieces
Preparation
Combine the grapeseed oil with the sesame oil, a pinch of salt, lots of black pepper, the chili powder, minced ginger, brown sugar and garlic.Toss the chicken in the oil mixture and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the chicken mixture.
Let it cook undisturbed for two minutes, then turn the mixture over and cook for another two minutes to let it brown. Stir, then cook for another five minutes while stirring occasionally.
Add the peanut butter, broth, and tomatoes. Bring it to a boil, reduce it to a simmer, and cook, 20-25 minutes uncovered.Taste and adjust seasonings (salt, pepper, chili powder, brown sugar) as needed.Stir in the spinach, and turn off the heat as soon as it wilts.
Serve over rice.
