Our next meeting is June 3rd at 10 a.m. at Tyler Fire Hall. Jason from SWRDC hopes to have a final draft. Christy and Dan from RTR schools are planning to attend.

There will be a Walkable Tyler Task Force meeting on May 5th at 10 a.m. at Tyler Fire Hall. SRDC will be present to go through the latest information .

Walkable Task can give the latest updates on the Bike Rodeo and if anyone else has any thing new. Hope to see you all there or someone to represent you.

The location of the Walkable Tyler meeting on March 3 at 10 a.m. has been changed. We will now be meeting at the American Legion Hall on East Bradley Street.

There will be a meeting on August 27th at Tyler firehall at 10 am.
Molly, Janet, Stephanie, Jason and Jody will give us updates or any new funding information. David and Allen if you have any new updates or information please let me know or share with the task force also.

The bags are packed! Saturday, July 25 at 9 a.m. the Walkable Tyler group along with the Minnesota River Area Agency on Aging (MNRAAA), the Tyler Pool and the City of Tyler will hold a short dedication of the $12,000 handicap accessible sidewalk. The event will be held in front (south side) of the pool. You will be able to hear the dedication by tuning to 98.5FM on your car radio dial. Everyone present will be able to drive by and get a Walkable Tyler Swag Bag filled with good stuff. Each bag will contain a bottle of hand sanitizer and a mask and and a few surprises! Volunteers handing out bags will all be wearing masks See you there!

The Walkable Tyler group plans to give out 100 free swag bags on July 25. We hope to include a homemade mask in each bag. Thanks to the area volunteers who have already donated 52 masks. We are looking for another 48 masks if anyone has some extra to donate by Thursday, if possible. We will be packing bags on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the fire hall. Please note: The Tyler Walkable Task Force meeting is scheduled for this Thursday, July 9th beginning at 10 o'clock in the Tyler Fire Hall. Masks are required and we'll be socially distanced.

1. Complete our planning for the July 25th event celebrating the completion of the sidewalk in front of the Tyler Pool.

A meeting will be held today, Monday, June 22nd at 1:30 p.m. in the Tyler Fire Hall. The meeting will be properly spaced and all attendees WILL wear a mask.
The meeting will be held to create a safe event to celebrate the completion of the sidewalk project by the pool.
The entire Walkable Task Force will not need to be at this planning meeting since it's only about planning the sidewalk/grant receiving project. We will consider what to do at the event and how to hold it within our current health guidelines.

Our next Walkable Tyler virtual meeting will be Thursday, May 14 at 10 a.m. You will be receiving a link to join the meeting. Just a warning, Google Meet does not work with Internet Explorer. You will need to upgrade to Microsoft Edge or be on Google Chrome. You will also get an option to join the meeting by phone if you do not have a device with a we**am.

Walkable Community Task Force

The Tyler Safe, Walkable Community Task Force is forming now. If you would like to become a part of making Tyler more walkable and healthy please join us. We will also be working towards a Safe Route To School Program through grant applications, encouraging a healthier lifestyle for all and working to form volunteer groups to help seniors keep their sidewalks clear in the winter.
