Merry Christmas And Happy Holidays from GVTS!🌲❤️🎄

Let's keep our trees watered and healthy during this drier Winter. 😊

With little to no snow cover this year and hardly any precipitation, plan on watering your trees one to two times per month until they begin leafing out in the spring. A well watered tree is less susceptible to the cold. Remember, trees' absorbing roots are in the top 6" - 8" of soil, and often extend past the drip line of the tree.

Thank you all for another great year. We look forward to serving the greater Grand Valley in 2024!

She was alive last year, but was struck by lightning over winter. Love the old notch and drop monsters. They laid concrete curbs and pads since we bid it. But we can do it nice and slow, to put her where we want her.

Speed lining is a method of removing limbs above hazards like houses, fences, and sheds. Here are a couple videos showing one type of speed line.

My perspective today. Finished up 19 trees, just a couple more main stems to bring down.

Medium sized multi stem cottonwood removal. Included bark. Borer activity and splitting. Dropping lots on the house. Thank you for choosing GVTS. 🤠

Big ol’ Catalpa tree that was over 100 years old. She had been struck by lightning twice, and had a mean 25 foot split down the center, from the competing main stems to the ground. While there, we trimmed up a nice sized Mulberry to reduce weight and giant dead limbs hanging over in to the neighbors yard.
