This Sunday our church will be going to the river to baptize.
I wrote this song a a few years ago for a baptism service. One of the men that got baptized that day was beginning an amazing and transformative season in his faith. God worked a lot of miracles in his life and transformed him throughout the next few years. He life was a testament of God’s faithfulness and forgiveness.
Earlier this year that friend passed away. He now has inherited the promise that he held onto in his baptism.
I spent some time in the studio working through this song again as a tribute to him and all those getting baptized on Sunday.
May God wash us each new with the water of his Word (Eph 5:26)
