Do you sometimes have intense food cravings? If so, your body could be trying to tell you something. Swipe through for potential interpretations of common food cravings.
Food cravings can be complex and influenced by a variety of factors, including physical, psychological, and environmental.
They are messages from the body to help maintain balance. It isn't always about the food you eat or a nutrient deficiency. Often, we use food to fill a void.
The important thing is to listen to them and ask yourself why you crave what you crave. Maybe your life is boring and you need to spice it up a little. Or perhaps your lifestyle is too stressful.
For example, if you're craving something sweet, you could need more protein, more exercise, more water or more love in your life.
π The key is to try to understand the root cause of a craving. Honestly ask yourself what does it mean, how am I feeling, what does my body want and why.

Let's face it. We've all been there. Found solace and comfort in a tasty meal, a bottle of wine or a box of cookies. It's a common coping mechanism for many of us. You feel better temporarily, but it can make you feel worse in the long run and can actually lead to more stress.
We all have our favorite stress management techniques like breath work, meditation or taking a walk. π§ββοΈ
But, did you know the foods you eat can help combat stress as well?
Some foods help flush out stress hormones while other foods increase the "feel good" chemicals serotonin and dopamine.
So, the next time you're feeling stressed, let's focus on nourishing our bodies and minds with healthy wholesome food. Of course a holistic approach that includes moving your body, hydrating and getting enough sleep is best, arming yourself with stress-busting food can go a long way.

Can you believe it's almost time for your kids to go back to school? Don't worry, we've already started prepping for it. Back-to-school styles have never looked so good. And fret not, we've got some stellar pieces for mom and dad to drop off their kids in!
First workout back in the gym since COVID! It felt so good to be back lifting again even though I had to drop the weight a little.ποΈββοΈ
Fitness is a continuum that ebbs and flows. Don't get discouraged over minor setbacks. Get back at it as soon as possible. It's about consistency over time, and the secret to success is in daily habits.
