This page is to help veterans find Operation EVAC. It is in no way cooperated. Anything unrelated or negative will be taken down.
Operation EVAC is an organization who's "mission is to support the growth and healing of veterans through mutual assistance, personal development, and community service." This page can also be used for anyone (preferably veterans) to share their stories or information about the VA and medical cannabis. Please do not use any type of negative hate speech, bullying, or non related content. I'm leaving the public posting on so please be respectful of what this page is suppose to represent.
Raising awareness of the opioid crisis! Thousands of soldiers in the U.S. military get injured every year whether it's from combat, to non-combat-related threats, and psychological stress. The current main answer for relieving these people's pain is opioids. The veterans who are no longer enlisted along with currently injured servicemen struggle with having to take prescribed pain and anxiety medication. Most of the people who are put on these medications end up getting addicted to them and turn to other hard drugs to replace them.
Veterans need a new solution for pain other than opiates. Veterans who have already started down this unchoosable path need a way to kick their addictions to the curb. Medical ma*****na IS something they can choose and it is the new answer for killing addictions. "We see cannabis not as a gateway drug... we see it as an exit path off opiates." - Nick Etten, Former Navy SEAL and founder of Veterans for cannabis. *****na
Retired Army Captain Ryan Miller is the founder of Operation EVAC. He was injured during active duty from an explosive projectile that damaged his leg and has dealt with the VHA and the opioid crisis first hand. His journey of getting rid of opiates and turning to medical cannabis inspired him to help other veterans with the same issues. He has claimed to be happier off of the dangerous prescription and he has already saved peoples lives in his retirement.
This page is NOT in cooperation with Operation EVAC. This page is simply here to help veterans find the organization and reach out to them. I discovered it from an article I read that I'll put at the bottom of the post. The article speaks about the fight to open medical ma*****na up the VHA and stop the addiction problem with opiates and anti-depressants. The group holds in person meetings at numerous ma*****na dispensaries in the Bay Area and Sacramento. They also hold online zoom meetings you can schedule on their website and I've posted that on the front page and again at the bottom of this post.
