Happy Monday 🤗

It is 3 am in the morning and I can’t sleep thinking on when I first immigrated in Canada. It was the midnight of Dec 6 2000. On Dec 9 2005 I got my citizenship, Dec 1 2009 I open my business and Dec 1 2020 my second business kozisilk. Lots of good things happened in December. It was magical,decorations and Christmas songs everywhere when I first arrived but, I was so afraid; I spoke no English, and didn’t know where we were going to spend the night with my one year old son and husband. Every time I travel when I get back to terminal 3 I always look at the end of it, where I first seat here. I was excited and scared, that was one of my longest nights of my life.
I also remembered when police showed up at the shelter. I looked at my husband in fear thinking they had come for us, we were the only immigrants there, instead, there was a Santa behind them with lots of gifts. In that moment I thought I am in the right country full of caring loving people where a police car sais to Serve and protect. My story is a typical immigrant story. I know I am not the only one, I have meet people, young girls that come here by themselves , with no english and no money ,no family and worked very hard to make a living. I don’t know how they did it? I am so proud of them. Tonight I put the Christmas lights up in my house and I think of the people who are spending their Christmas in the shelters…. I get asked a lot if I am proud of the life I builded in Canada ? I AM GRATEFUL! Grateful for all the friends I have made ♥️ Thank you for all your support 🙏
