✨Finding calm in stressful situations✨
When I first attempted this pose, I thought, “no way, it’s never going to be possible or comfortable.” I gave up trying for a long time and then kept coming back to it. It’s truly amazing what daily practice brings with it. Although I certainly would not say this pose is comfortable or that I like to spend hours of my day here, I have found a place of peace and harmony while here, at least for 5 breaths—I guess that’s a beginning.

When I get stuck in a downward spiraling mood and feel that there is nothing to look forward to and no escape from the difficulty that is staring me in the face, I go for a walk and look to the sky👀which is always full of inspiration💫

Dreaming is something I’ve been great at, but I have to remind myself that it’s still possible, even during dark times🌟🌘🌟

My recent visit to this gorgeous french garden in Reims-champagne😁🍾 revealed the common ice plant(Mesembryanthemum) is part of the fig-marigold family. Ice plant is great for skin rashes & wound healing.& digestive track. It tastes great in a salad, with a crispy and slightly salty flavor (similar to spinach)😋It has a wonderful cooling, anti-inflammatory properties 🍃 and it grows well in full sun and clay like soil in Summer and Autumn🍁🌞🍂
Try it as a pesto!
Quick before the basil is gone👊
INGREDIENTS
½ cup roasted pumpkin seeds
½ cup olive oil - extra virgin
1 cup basil
1 cup ice plant
2 Tablespoons lemon juice -
2 cloves garlic
salt to taste
INSTRUCTIONS
Add the pumpkin seeds, garlic, basil, parsley, and lemon juice to your food processor.
Start blending and slowly add in the olive oil. Make sure to scrape down the sides and process until a smooth sauce. Add grey or sea salt to taste along w black pepper.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, or freeze for a few months.
