Today the new set of officers of National Service Training Program gathered together, headed by their NSTP Coordinator Mrs. Reynelsa, Tumanda. Pledging to serve with unwavering dedication and integrity, with their hearts filled with purpose, they embraced the noble responsibility of upholding the values of services , leadership and social responsibility.
This oath-taking will marked the beginning of their journey where they would strive to make positive impact in the Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology, Fellow students and the Community.
Last January 25, 2024. The National Service Training Program conducted an election fo the new set of officers of the NSTP Organization for school year 2023-2024.
The election yields an inspiring outcome, with the passionate and responsible leaders elected to lead and serve.

Representing Region 9 and the pride of ZSCMST Kickboxing and Arnis Team, the talented and relentless Jerome E. Negapatan - Silver Medal Kickboxing, Nayka Marie B. Acoyado - Bronze Medal Arnis and Joseph S. Falcasantos - Bronze Medal Arnis showcased unparalleled skill and resilience, ultimately seizing the championship title amid fierce competition from top ROTC athletes across the country.

ZSCMST I ZSCMST NSTP-LTS LAST FRIDAY DEPLOYMENT FOR HERO- ROLL OUT
The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology-National Service Training Program in partnership with USAID-EDC Opportunity 2.0 and DepEd ALS lives up to the โNo one should be left behindโ as they further extend their reach to the vulnerable out-of-school youth by providing them with second chance opportunities through the HERO Program so that, learners are better equipped with 21st century and leadership skills they need to excel in further education and training.
The ZSCMST-NSTP headed by Mr. Leoniel R. Isidro-Coordinator, Mrs. Reynelsa D. Tumanda, Ms. Langka Makiri, Seinior HERO Facilitators led by Mr. Renzo Rebollos, and the NSTP Literacy Training Service (LTS) students started its HERO Roll-out yesterday -MAY 05, 2023 on the twelve districts of DepEd-ALS lead by Dr. Gloria Carpio. The ZSCMST-NSTP LTS students were trained to facilitate the ALS learners' decision-making in continuing higher education and harnessing their knowledge with various information to gear them towards their education and skill desires. This would help the ALS learners achieve their future goals and become more globally responsible at the height of the life skills competition.

Mr. Julius Gregory B. Ibalio the Youth Development Coordinator from USAID-Education Development Center Opportunity 2.0 Program sent an invitation regarding the Final meeting with ALS teachers for the necessary preparations that concluded this morning at Zamboanga Central School SPED Center. The National Service Training Program Club Coordinator, Mr. Niel Isidro, facilitated the invitation. This meeting is in relation to the First Year Literacy Training Service (LTS) Facilitators who will be deploy starting tomorrow from different districts for HERO- Roll out ( Community Immersion).
ZSCMST I HEROES IN ACTION DAY 2
The education system of DepEd ALS will be strengthened to reach vulnerable out-of-school youth by providing them with second chance education so that learners are better equipped with the soft and leadership skills they need to excel in further education and training.
Last April 11 and 12, 2023 the National Service Training Program Club conducted a rollout of HERO for ALS Learners facilitated by all NSTP- LTS students. Hence, to fully prepare and equip the NSTP-LTS students to be deployed in twelve (12) districts to teach the ALS learners.
ZSCMST I HEROES IN ACTION DAY 1
The education system of DepEd ALS will be strengthened to reach vulnerable out-of-school youth by providing them with second chance education so that learners are better equipped with the soft and leadership skills they need to excel in further education and training.
Last April 11 and 12, 2023 the National Service Training Program Club conducted a rollout of HERO for ALS Learners facilitated by all NSTP- LTS students. Hence, to fully prepare and equip the NSTP-LTS students to be deployed in twelve (12) districts to teach the ALS learners.
The Zamboanga State College of Marine Sciences and Technology-National Service Training Program is halfway through its HERO Program Roll-out and Implementation in partnership with USAID-Opportunity 2.0 and the Department of Education-Alternative Learning System.
Last April 3 and 4, 2023 the selected Fifty (50) College of Education and Liberal Arts (CELA) Students for the HERO Program participated in the Training of Trainers in Audio Visual room. This strengthens the system of education for everybody, specifically for ALS learners.
HERO Mindset is education, not a privilege, but a right for everybody despite the differences in terms of gender, social status, and culture where we come from.

Benchmarking Visit for the Development of the Academic Focused Bridging Program Policy of the Department of Education Bureau of Alternative Education. The HERO, ALS teachers, ALS learners, Hero Facilitators, BAE with 12 team, ZSCMST NSTP faculty, and ZSCMST NSTP Hero facilitators visited the Community learning Centers on Zamboanga held last March 22, 2023.

RE preparatory meeting of HERO implementation held last March 20, 2023 at the LAS office in Zamboanga Central School SPED Center with USAID and DepEd-ZC ALS focal, Dr. Gloria Carpio. The said meeting was attended by the ZSCMST-NSTP focal persons and NSTP HERO volunteers.

This morning the National Service Training Program Club in coordinated with the ROTC Officers conducted a mangrove planting at Campus B. This is spearhead by the newly coordinator of the club Mr. Niel Isidro and the faculty including Ms. Sitti langka, and Mrs. Reynelsa Tumanda.The Club promotes sustainability and eco-friendly, especially to our institution. As we work together in redeeming ourselves in facing calamities, for a reason of environmental conflict.
