Not all fat is the same. Sis, do your legs look like this too?
If they do, there is no amount of "dieting" or exercising that is going to get rid of this type of fat.
What you are looking at is the appearance of lipedema/lipoedema, not to be confused with lymphedema or being obese.
Watch this space. I have a lot to share with our community, especially our black and brown sisters who may not be aware of this condition.
Big Mama probably has lipedema.π€·πΌββοΈ

π₯Homemade Oat Milkπ₯
π₯πΎ Homemade Oat Milk πΎπ₯
I was certainly Betty Crocker today.βΊοΈ
Seriously, this was simple to make too. You have to use rolled oats only. Steel cut and quick oats will not work.
The colder the water the better. It makes for a rich and not slimy milk.
This is NOT low carb. There are roughly 16 carbs, per 8 ounces, for those who are counting.ππ
RECIPE
The ratio is 4:1 - Four parts water and one part oats.
4 cups of ice cold water
1 cup of rolled oats
METHOD
Pour cold water into a large container. Add the oats. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Pour water and oats into a high speed blender. Pulse for 20 seconds at a time. Keep the water cold. Pulse until all the oats are well blended.
Strain through a milk bag. Keep the pulp for use later in a cake, pancake, etc
Store in an air tight container. The milk will last in the refrigerator for roughly 4 days max.
Enjoy inexpensive and nutritious vegan milk.

πMy Official Reset Starts Today π
As I look back and contemplate moving forward, I am reminded of how far I have come already on my 200 pound weight loss journey.ππ
I feel absolute gratitude. Words cannot quite express. To still be alive and well. Only God.ππ₯²
It's been 12 years since I lost and kept off 100+ pounds of excess body weight. It's time to get back on journey and continue the work that was already begun.πβ‘οΈ
This is a beautiful reminder to me - Philippians 1:6 "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished..." π
So here's to my next 100 pounds, on this 200 pound weight loss journey.
To anyone who is on their own journey, stay the course for beautiful yoU my Darling. Don't give up on yourself. π«

I ate my first meal today 18 hours after my last meal. I start drinking lots of cold water and Earl Grey tea pretty much as soon as I get up.π«β
I forgot to take the picture of my 'breakfast/lunch' earlier today.π³ π₯
As you can see I eat pretty much the same food every day.
Enough about food. It is such a small part of my journey. I have to eat, so I do.π π
Today I found myself spending energy on this abdominal pannus or "belly apron" of mine. You do all the hard work, lose the first one hundred pounds and then you are left with the constant reminder of your former self. That dreaded "hammock belly" belly in my case.π
I will certainly need surgery going forward to remove it. Either a panniculectomy or a tummy tuck. Things to consider down to road.
So I continue to...

π§οΈπ Gratitude Overflowing ππ§οΈ
Today, my heart is filled with immense gratitude for the morning rain, showering blessings upon us. The beauty of having our home and being able to manage our mortgage warms my soul. π π
Though the air conditioning unit needs servicing and is temporarily switched off, the gentle breeze from fans brings comfort, teaching us the art of adaptability. π
Enduring scorching 96Β° temperatures last week, I danced with joy as I felt an incredible 18Β° drop in the house temperature today. π
Surprisingly, this magical 18 seems to be weaving its way into my life. My Blood Glucose Levels, like the temperature, have come down by 18 points. And astonishingly, my journey of transformation has led to a significant fat loss of 18 pounds! π€―π
It's a testament to the Divine's concern for us on every level, reminding us that we are not alone on this journey. π₯°
The lessons learned have been profound. Transformation is undoubtedly challenging, and the road can be tough, but as my darling friend once said, "There is sunshine after the rain" and joy after the pain.Trouble does not last always.
We can find beauty after difficulty. π«
To my Darlings, I encourage you to stay the course, for the rewards along the journey are yours to cherish, all the way to the finish line. π
Embrace each experience and look around with a grateful heart. Appreciating what we have now prevents us from dwelling on what we lack. There is abundant beauty in counting our blessings. ππ«
In these moments, as I look around me, my heart brims with gratitude and certainty that God's presence is in all things. π Sending love, light, and good vibes to each of you, my darlings. ππ«π«
May you continue to be blessed in every way. π€π«

Today was interesting food wise. My first meal was at 1:00 p.m. - 18 hours after my last meal - that was not planned at all. So my usual staple didn't happen.
I don't usually eat past 7:00 p.m. but tonight, I started eating at 7:30 p.m. and finished 8:15 p.m.
Everything is going in the right direction. Mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually I am in a very good space.

I have stopped eating for the day. My last meal needs to be finished by 7:00 p.m. I will eat again, somewhere between 14 to 16 hours after my last meal. ππ₯
I have two meals a day and am quite satisfied. I don't have the sensation of hunger, a side effect from a past surgery. Previously, if I waited too long to eat, I would usually get a headache or start to feel sick. None of that is happening while eating the way I am eating now.π
My meals are relatively the same, as you can see with my pictures. π₯±π
I will say this as an Obesity expert, there are significantly more things to address other than food, when trying to lose 200 or 100 pounds of excess body fat my Darling. I can absolutely help you lose your first 100 pounds too my Darling.ππ

I am not a foodie at all. I can eat the same thing for weeks and months on end.π€·πΌββοΈ
I like to reset on a Tuesday, never a Monday. ποΈ π
I do not advocate for dieting at all. So I will just show images of what I ate.πΌοΈπ«
For me right now it's about eating for a calorie deficit, keeping my blood glucose levels under 100 and burning body fat.
People have asked me what did I do to lose 100 pounds?
The better question would be, what are yoU prepared to do in order to lose your 100 pounds?
I did what I was prepared and willing to do, consistently over the long haul. That is exactly what I did.

Never lose sight of your dream fulfilled, no matter how long the delay my Darling.ππ«π«
πFinally! π
It has been a decade. It has been ten (10) long years since I singularly showed up for me!
2010 I got serious about that fact that I needed to lose the extra 200 pounds I had been carrying around. I was not supposed to weigh 350 pounds! Not when my usual weight was 145 - 150 pounds.
2012, I got down to 205 pounds. Instead of losing 6 more pounds to be out of the 200's, I got satisfied with the weight loss I had. Maintained the 100 pound weight loss for 10 years and laid my dream aside.
Does that sound familiar?! We get satisfied and comfortable and lose sight of the end goal and big picture.
Well I am back...
The change in direction begins at the very top, with me personally.
Walking the talk, I speak about.

Rest Easy and Sleep Well my Darlings.π€π
π‘οΈπ₯΅ It is HoT Outside π₯΅π‘οΈ
What a beautiful blessing to have been raised on a little island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, namely Bermuda.π§π²π
The AC for the house is not working efficiently, so I am not bothering to turn it on. While it is hot outside, it is good and cool inside with the fans running and the windows opened.
I know how to capture the cool temperature of night and shield the sun when and were necessary. The advantages of growing up without center air. We opened our windows and closed the shutters and drew the curtains.
Not only is the house cool. My electricity bill is next to nothing... $34.34 for the month!!! Down from $216.11 for the same period last year! That is roughly a 85% savings!!
Too, the fat loss is real. Drinking more water and eating more raw and lightly cooked food, is an added plus. A girl is NOT cooking in a hot kitchen. My glucose levels are still all within normal range. Sleeping more and better too.
Talk about a beautiful blessing. Instead of complaining about not having my air conditioning working, I am grateful to work with what I know to do.
I am blessed on so many levels and in all ways.
God is in all.
Sending you LoVe, Light and Good Vibes too.ππ«π«
π Full Measure π
To experience the full measure of Infinite, is to be our possible best,
in any moment. Notwithstanding moments of our being less than.
BEing conscious of; yielded to; strengthened by; striving for moral excellence and to Be love - this is BEing filled with the full measure of Infinite, manifested in us, both individually and collectively my dear Darling.

π« Changes π«
The thought of contemplating change is difficult for most. To change ones character; at this age, an impossibility we may think.
Have you ever said, "This is who I am. I ain't changing. Love me or leave me?"
It's that exact thinking that can, and needs to change, if it does not reflect our highest and best self. The struggle and strain found in our own effort is real.
Thankfully, we can have renewed Thinking and BEing by
Learning of, and
Abiding with the
Indwelling of Oneness, with
Ease and Grace,
Without having had anything Burdensome laid on us.
My Darling, we need only to keep Company with Presence and
Live with a
Mild,
Kind, and
Tender manner.

π Removing The Maskπ
To remove the masks, we must:
Make allowances for one another's short comings, including our own.
So stop feeling angry and
resentful toward someone for
an offense,
a flaw,
a mistake.
Be gentle and tenderhearted.
Never hold grudges. Donβt retaliate in kind when someone hurts you.
Instead invoke the Divine, showing love and compassion with each other.
Recognize our Oneness, made manifest individually and collectively as yoU, and as me.
Doing so, the need to mask will disappear my Darling.

π Love π
This is love.
Love is patient and kind;
Love is not discontented,
It does not want for itself only, nor is it possessive; it is not self-absorbed or rude.
It does not insist on its own way; it is not easily annoyed or resentful; it takes no joy in wrongdoing, but delights in the truth.
I choose to show yoU love, in this manner my Darling.

The Joy of Life
The question is asked, "What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his own soul?"
Seemingly having every desired possession,
far too many people are still
lonely,
bitter,
depressed,
miserable,
ungrateful and
disheartened.
The joy of life is in giving - your time, a listening ear and a helping hand to others.
It's, not in the accumulation of possessions.
This yoU already know, let it be a gentle reminder my Darling.
