I like pencils; I especially like this pencil that belongs to my father-in-law. I like it because I can get a long lead on it without having to sharpen it every two minutes. The lead broke on it this morning and I don't have any more that size.
So I started looking into it. Turns out it's an Eversharp which were really popular pencils in the 1910/20's, they pumped out about 12,000,000 in partnership with Whal (the American firm not the more recent British firm that makes great hair trimmers!) and, eventually, taken over by Parker I believe.
Anyway, I found the instructions which lead (pun intended) me to an eraser on the end and also a stash of lead under the eraser!
However, I would like some softer lead so if anyone knows where to get 1.2mm B/2B/4B lead, please let me know, I'd be most grateful!
So I'll write a book

Don't let it near me

We moved into a new place just before Christmas. There was this thing being used as a doorstop. Didn't give it another thought until this morning. Turns out it's a press with an address 😀

Keeping my hand in with the pet portraits too. Varnished and framed, she's ready to go home.
I love a bit of painting en plein air ❤️ it's so good to stop and look at things
The enthusiasm for painting on a Sunday morning is contagious, they get me motivated 😍
Had a go with the RA Sketch Club last week. This was a life drawing class by Emyr Williams, really enjoyed it! There's more classed coming up I might join in with https://www.royalacademy.org.uk/events/tag/saturday-sketch-club
Getting a feel for the new studio space - lovely north-ish facing windows for when I get the chance to paint all day 🤞 Here's some plants in a pot on a Sunday morning.
Nice view of Margate from here
'I can't get out' small gouache on paper. It's about a person trapped in their own thoughts/mind and who can't see anyone else's reality even though they try.
Emily 'cutting and sticking' 2 minute drawing
A self portrait is taking shape in acrylics on a large reclaimed canvas.
It was lovely, bright, and sunny today! I did this with pen & gouache instead, which was nice. Another Time.
Thanet friends might recognise the location
Finally unpacking the art materials, whoop! I don't remember anything about my art teacher at school other than the way he pronounced Gouache
These self-portraits were enjoyable
When I don't have time to get the oil paints out, I love doing digital drawings. I think this is someone sitting on the floor with a stuffed belly.
Dead In The Water - Adrian Lloyd Art | OpenSea The traffickers were paid, they nearly made it. Digital painting.
A pen and wash interpretation of an Amanda Hyatt piece. It's amazing the atmosphere that can be created with a pen and a couple of water colours, love it!
If something is not right and it is within your power to do so you must change it, even if you lose it all. I love charcoal.
This painting is in an exhibition helping to celebrate Ramsgate Harbour becoming a Royal Harbour 200 years ago. I also made the oak frame on this one so it's a bit special
This is great! Helping people who are blind or visually impaired to experience art with touch and smells
