A bit about Mike Clark...
Mike Clark has been blowing Sax on the Canadian Music Scene for more than 35 years. He is a veteran of all of Blues.
He performed with Albert Collins, Son Seals and Amos Garrett to name a few. He has 5 full albums and countless Sax sessions under his belt.
Mike has been nominated for the Canadian Maple Blues Awards three times and is a member of the Calgary Blues Music Hall of Fame. Stony Plain Records owner, Holger Petersen calls him Alberta’s Pre-eminent Saxman.
The Mike Clark Band has been a major player on the Calgary Scene for 20 years and knows how to please and entertain any crowd. They have represented Calgary at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis three times and have played Major Music Festivals through-out Western Canada.
Most recently Mike performed with Tommy Castro and the Painkillers on the Legendary Rhythm and Blues Cruise in January on 2020 and return in January of 2022.
His recently released Album Devil’s Playground has been on CKUA’s top 30 charts for three weeks straight reaching as high as #4.
